PROJECT BLUE BOOK TV SERIES

Just thought I'd give a heads up for a new TV series on SBS, Thursday nights at 8.30 pm. As many will know, Project Blue Book was the US Government's official UFO investigating body between 1952 and 1969.
"
Over this first season’s 10 episodes Project Blue Book covers some of the most confronting and inexplicable UFO cases in history. It’s a gripping drama in its own right, but the real-life nature of the cases they investigate gives it an edge most spooky series can’t match. It’s a series based on actual events, and those events pose questions that we still haven’t answered today."
I will be setting the video recorder to capture every episode! The first one was last Thursday, March 28. Missed programs, including last week, can also be viewed on SBS On Demand. For a preview, check out:

I have watched the 1st 2 episodes... interestingly, in one of them a creature is associated with a crash.... not too dissimilar from a yowie.

Must admit to be a bit peeved off with COVID-19… and also that Project Blue Book Season 2 has ended. Everything else in life I'm happy with!
I always looked forward to Wednesday evenings on SBS. The Season 2 finale last night was a double episode, S02 E09 ‘Broken Arrow’ and S02 E10 ‘Operation Mainbrace’. A couple of beauties!
Most of the stories are written around reported Blue Book events but obviously have lashings of creative licence to heighten entertainment. I could relate to most of the incidents in the storylines.
The first series of this History Channel drama was the most watched new cable show of the season to date. As far as I can gather, a Season 3 is very likely but has not been confirmed as yet. Fingers crossed the numbers stack up. This damn virus could very well affect production schedules.
I will hopefully look forward to following the UFO adventures of Professor Hynek and Captain Quinn around this time next year. Although the writers will have to come up with some sort of brilliant scenario to revive Captain Quinn after he was seen to be killed off in the final episode.
I hope others enjoyed Project Blue Book as much as I did.

Just as long as you don't take any of it at all seriously, with lots of dramatic licence used. If you read some of the USA-based online commentators they point out what an absolute full-on distortion of true history this series unfortunately presents.

Totally agree, Greg. You don’t want to take this series seriously! It’s clearly a scripted drama and not the factual account of incidents you would expect in a documentary. It’s entertainment that’s the winner here.
Most of the episodes are based on actual reports. Like the Sutton family’s siege with alien creatures on their ranch near Hopkinsville in Kentucky, USA. That was fun to watch!
Of course creative licence is engaged to its fullest so people (like me) can just sit back and enjoy the dramatization unfolding on the TV screen. This Project Blue Book series never means to represent “true history”. So anyone who suggests it is ‘unfortunate’ has little understanding of the requirements of commercial television. Suggest they instead check out some of the many hundreds of UFO docos on the PayTV channels.

Arrrahg I should not have read this thread before watching the last episode lol. Now Searcher I think we both know what's occurred with Cap Quinn; he is not dead but transported to another dimension or location, much like that fishing trawler. Next episode he will wake up in a daze on some tropical island with no recollection of what happened.
The last episode reminded me of Tick Tac UFO and aircraft carriers. I wonder how many service personnel saw strange craft leaving the water and ascending at great speed into the sky. The whole USO phenomena as got me puzzled.

I meant to quote searcher's post, not gregvalentine.
BTW I do agree with you gregvalentine about not taking it too seriously.
