Interesting experience and request.

Hello fellow Yowie enthusiasts, I just wanted to bring to light an experience that just came to mind and a coincidence that I only just realised. Deciding one morning to start early and go for a walk around the base of Mt Tibrogargan and arriving at approximately 7am we were met with emergency services at the base of the mountain. Not to be nosy we just took a wide berth and set on our way. Halfway around right near the place where you can see the tubular features of the adjacent mountain we heard, what I could only describe as deep throaty howl from close to the base of the mountain in amongst the very think scrub. I turned to my partner and Mother who were with me on the walk and asked if they heard that. Well the look on my Mothers face told me that she in her 67 years of life had never heard anything close to what she heard that day. Me, joking said, nevermind it's just a yowie.
After returning home and not thinking much of it, it was only later I learned that the emergency services were there for that poor 22 year old fella that lost his life on the mountain early that morning on the 2.9.18. Now I'm not saying that in anyway the two events are related but it certainly make you wonder if whatever made that huge noise sensed that a tragedy had happened.
Now the request, if anyone has had an experience up around the Glasshouse Mountains recently I ask if you could please pass them onto me for further investigation. I live very close to the Glasshouse Mountains and am often up and around there exploring. I'm convinced that the noise I heard that day was certainly something else other than the usual wild dog ect.
Thanks Tracker74
