Hi all , has anyone placed a large mirror in the bush with the idea of maybe getting finger / handprints etc . My world champion ( wife)
whilst having her monthly spring clean decided that we don't need a mirror ( 1m x 400mm ) I was going to get rid of it then thought I might place it out in my area give it a good clean and see what happens , I wont be having any cameras etc pointing at it as I want them to approach it .
I intend to leave it there for a cpl of weeks . I will be leaving it in a spot where i know they are around , as i have a recent photo and was chased out only 3 weeks ago when i was going to have an overnighter

Good luck! Anything that may reveal some positive evidence is worth a try. Unknown hand or finger prints would be a good start.

Definitely give it a go. It won’t work or fail by thinking about it.

I think they would have seen their own reflections in things before. Water, discarded bottles, abandoned cars in the bush.

A large mirror would be different though for sure. You’d have to be careful about birds flying into it and breaking their necks.

I’d definitely be interested to learn what you find out about it. Would you leave a camera there as well?

Gday Buck , I am going to put it out one day next week , work permitting , im 2.5 hrs away so its an all day trip , I wasn't going to put cameras facing it , don't want to put them off but they do approach my cameras from the side and rear so Ill put it facing but offset a bit , hopefully they wont mind
I intend to leave it for 2-3 weeks

One gust of wind and the mirror experiment has been put on hold , at least til the world champ does her next big clean
