Sighting... certainly unusual.

Hello fellow Yowie enthusiasts. As you most likely know from a previous post of mine, 6 months ago while walking around Mt Tibrogargan I as well as two other people heard what can only be described as a massive deep growl. Now having gone back a couple of times hopefully to hear it again over the months I returned last Monday to catch a glimpse of something high on the mountain. Now Monday was that really windy day we had and it was blowing hard up at the mountain.
Anyway on returning the next day to investigate further but without finding anything I notice a lot of rock climbers were out and about that day. I passed a couple of climbers and asked what the likelihood of anyone climbing yesterday being the day I took the pics, his reply was, “No way, not with that wind that’s why there are so many of us today.” I showed him my pic and his reply was, “What the hell is that, that doesn’t look like a climber. Now the place on the rock is extremely steep and I have never witnessed any climber on that part of the mountain before. Hopefully the pics load.

Hey Tracker74
Very hard to tell what it is looking at the pictures you have uploaded, quite blurry.
Was the thing moving at all when you saw it? or is it just a random photo?

Yeah unfortunately it was quite far away and it’s the best I could take with the IPhone. From the naked eye perspective it was so unusual. It was moving that’s when it caught my eye, then dead still for 10 minutes. First myself I thought climber but no ropes or anything were visible. That’s why I asked the guys the following day of what the likelihood of anyone climbing the day before because it was so windy. I have recently discussed it with another climber and he said it’s unusual to be climbing on your own in winds like there was and not to be in hi-vis at least.

Black garbage bag (sun shining off some surfaces) blown onto a short ledge or crevice by the high wind and fell off or blown away again the next day?

The dimensions from that distance don't equate to a garbage bag .
Compare it to the rocks around it they are large and it is bigger
Not a garbage bag ??

Yeah definitely not a garbage bag or climber I took several shot of climbers the next day to compare. No other climber from my pics resemble this.

Well, I think you need to know the actual size of the rocks it's being compared to.

Not discounting that, however I only gave an opinion, maybe Tracker74 can chime in with his knowledge of the area seeing as he was there and give an estimation of rock size.

Could be anything, hard to make out any detail.
When enlarged, It looks like something is sitting behind the rock with it's legs and arms around the front of the rock (head behind rock) - just my perception.
Pity you could not get closer, while image was still there.
However, it is hard to believe a hairy would be out in the open on the side of a mountain.

Hey guys sorry for the late reply.... bloody flu. Definitely larger than surrounding rocks although in that area there isn’t really really any single rock formations to compare it to, that’s what caught my eye. I believe it moved just after I spotted it but then stationary. From the naked eye it appeared to be facing the rock.
Unfortunately very thick scrub was between myself and the mountain so couldn’t get closer. But I can definitely rule out a climber. It’s funny because I shared this on a couple of Yowie sites and a fella was telling me it was his Father I believe that was doing road works up around Glasshouse and took some pics of two unusual Black well, not sure what to call them, things on the side of the mountain similar to mine....... the mind ponders.

Hi Tracker,
I know what it is, it's a black wheelie bin trash bag with a Yowie inside.
But no seriously, it's certainly an a big shape. My question is if you expand photo what is the smaller black blob (just calling that) just above right to the larger black image?
If the larger image is a Yowie, could the smaller blabk "blob" be a baby Yowie?
I've just joined this group after I google Yowie sightings because I had my own 18 mths ago & would like to hear from people who don't think I'm bat s#@t crazy.

A "hairy-man" collecting rubbish, then?

Just read that - amazing. Now we know about when it happened.

I’ll put the image on my computer and see if I can clean up the image a bit...... stay tuned. Oh, just last weekend there was another sighting on another Yowie forum on the same mountain Mt Tibrogargan, the description of that sighting was it was black, standing with long limbs. So who knows what’s going on up there.

In this photo there is an Australian soldier roughly in the centre of the image .
It is definitely an armed soldier on exercise/training .
It could be misconstrued for whatever your imagination allows albeit it is a soldier .
I feel it shows how easily a hairy could hide in almost plain sight and go relatively undetected .

I actually see five soldiers so your point is well made.

Absolutely!
People who claim the Hairy Blokes could not exist because we would see them more often have no idea how easy it is to stay hidden in the bush if you have the right hair colour/camp gear.
My wolfhound instantly disappears as soon as he stops moving in all types of scrub.

Im a rock climber and that is not a climber! If it was someone climbing you would see lots of quickdraws hanging off their harness and a rope dangling underneath them, this doesnt have any climbing equipment on.

Very first thing I noticed, no ropes ect. Now I see climbers up there all the time and the first distinguishing features you see are ropes. If this fella is free climbing on that side of the mountain, well I take my hat off to him.

Him/her...
In the photo it looks he/she is wearing a backpack of some sort, like a Camelbak?

Yeah I did think it was at first maybe a backpack but in comparing the pic to other climbers the following day the (thing) in the pic looks way to big in comparison.
