Hey guys
I recently did a podcast with Paul from Mysteries and Monsters in the UK.
It's pretty much my view and experience with yowies here in the West.
I hope you enjoy!

Hey Slats, I listened to it yesterday. Not much is known about our hairy guys over in WA. So it was good to have someone like yourself talking about it. Good Job Mate!

Nice one, Slats. Like the way you share the enthusiasm. An entertaining hour of listening and hope you actually get to see one of these elusive critters sometime soon!

Thanks Dan, there's definitely some interesting things happening in the West Australian bush. It's also fascinating to be able to draw the comparisons between the east and west.

Thanks Searcher, I'm sure it'll happen one day, I've mentioned it before patient persistence is the key and I reckon we'll get the answers we're all hoping to find.

Good interview Slats;

I am also from WA and I regularly drive through semi bushy areas after doing shift work and always on the lookout for anything odd.
I did a post a while back about being in contact with someone who was too scared to talk about an encounter with the mischievous little ones!. While working as a contractor, I tried to build a relationship with this fellow (Indigenous Ranger, northern outer suburbs of Perth). I was making good progress with him until my contract ended (should have got his contact details dam it).

Currently I have a work college (part indigenous), his is built like a brick house, 6'4 tall not scare of anything except for what happened to him while camping. He has not told anyone, not even his closest family and clamps up when I delicately broach the subject. I told him about the time I was bush walking and had the feeling of being watched; the first thing he said was; "was it a sacred site". My answer was not to my knowledge.

I need to take advice from DH and co on how to get people to open up.

I do remember reading that. I think it's just a matter of being patient with with witnesses, you have to remember that most sightings shatter people's understanding of what they know about the world around and often can be quite traumatic. They'll open up when the time and person who they tell is right.

Cheers

Thanks Rusty, i did rehash all the data prior to refresh my memory lol. It is an interesting area, particularly that there's only aboriginal stories regarding the little fellas.
I'm actually learning Noongar language and culture at the moment and on going. I have a couple of elders I need to talk though and hopefully I'll be able to get some more info.
But there's always questions to answer and trying to find ways to answer them...

Cheers
