Editing/Correcting typos and such...

For the life of me I've tried to find some editing feature (or the like), am I having a (future) Senior Moment?
Surely there is something somewhere that I've missed ... yes?
I have a tendency to type to fast and end up leaving out some letters in my posts. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and I'll thank you now for any info,
Johnny

No edit function unfortunately. Its to prevent people from deleting their posts and the threads making no sense. If you have a solution maybe tell the moderators.
A five minute wait where you could edit before posting would be good. Maybe give people a chance to rethink as well which could help prevent fights. Otherwise gotta triple check your post. I hope thats a help!

Hey JA
There should be an edit button after you post, but its only there for a few minutes I believe, also if you log out and back in in order to correct something the edit button is gone. The Edit button is on the top right hand side of ones post (the little pencil button) nect to the quote button.
Yowiebait is correct the edit button was removed a number of years back and then added again in recent years but its only there for a few minutes to protect the original post from being altered. We have had a few members/people in the past who have come back months years later only to edit out every single thing they ever wrote, which meant reading threads was rather difficult to understand with the missing pieces.
Hope thats a help.
