Feeling your being watched.

Hi all

I am or at least was an avid bushwalker/trail runner. Throughout my youth I would frequently go camping Kilometers from civilization in the middle of nowhere and recently have done most trails in close proximity to where I live. I had heard of yowies but never thought much of them nor knew what to look for, etc. After listening to audio reports I feel more likely they exist. I never really looked for anything when I was in the bush just enjoyed being there. I do remember once going on a trail in an area I now know was a yowie hot spot. I always felt uneasy going there but usually I was with a group and was ok. I went once just with my husband and I was scared I have never felt more worried something was going to grab me or come out but never heard or saw anything. I just felt like I had to leave. I remember hearing a Goanna climb a tree and I almost ran for my life. So just wondering, when out in an area you normally go, have you ever felt different/fear that you don't normally feel in that same area for no known reason? The time I felt scared I just had to leave.. was wierd....

Yes absolutely.
I spent a lot of time in the bush and but there were a few occasions that I knew to get out of there. Hard to explain but real fear takes over.

I agree I find it wierd the fear.. I remember telling my husband we just need to get out and constantly thinking I heard something and everything dead quiet.. when he agreed and we turned around felt the same til I could see the road again and suddenly was like a weight had lifted off my shoulders...

Hi all , I have been in this position often , and it is a very eerie feeling , all goes quiet and the feeling can be overwhelming , I have found that
talking to them out loud helps ( just saying you want to be friends , not there to harm , is it ok for me to come in,,,most important as I look at it as it is their backyard ... etc ) can help the feeling leave , whether it is they are ok or that just talking stems our irrational fears
, I don't know but it works for me
Cheers Greg

I have had the feeling of being watched on many occasion while out in the bush. Its a sense that i think everyone gets when ypu are out alone. But for a long term researchers it's a good sign that your in the right place at the right time.
