This story dates back to around 1994 and I was living up on tambourine mountain where I still live now. I live on an acreage with a fair amount of bush area in the back part. One night I heard something walking around back there, the footsteps were too heavy to be an animal's, so I went to look. I was expecting it to be a person, but I saw a giant humanoid shape in the bush out there. I have some photos of it somewhere, I'll try to find them in future, but it amazed me. That's how I begun hunting for yowies. Does anyone else here have any interesting stories of yowies on their property?

Thanks for your post! That sounds really interesting. I don't have any Yowie stories but was wondering if you can elaborate a bit more about what you saw, when you saw it etc? Did you only see it once or more than once? Thanks!

It was hard to see, I never saw it that close to my property again. However there's bush around the back where I've managed to see it again a few times in the same year. I haven't seen any around that area again recently.

I've only seen it a few times in the bush area behind my house, but never that close to my property again.

Did you take these pictures on a camera? Couldn't be by mobile phone as they didn't have cameras back then, only tradies had the analog brick. It would be good to see new unseen pictures of a Yowie or are they just Pareidolia?.

I took the photos on a camera and have been trying to find them now. I haven't found them myself because I am stuck at my daughter's house in Sydney and can't get back home because of the coronavirus outbreak. I've asked my wife to find the photos but she doesn't know what she's looking for. If she does find them I'll send them asap.

I could be wrong but I believe the Youtube Channel "The Yowie Chronicles" is based in that area. The bloke mentions a few times his property backs onto the Albert River in SE Queensland and a quick google search indicates its definitely in the area of Tamborine Mountain. Back of the GC and still a lot of scrub and forest there it wouldn't surprise me if there were quite a few stories from property's in that area.

Took the photos on a camera. It was so long ago, I don't remember what camera but yeah definitely not a phone camera

. My wife recently found them in our storage unit. I am still in sydney, so I'll get her to scan them and can hopefully post them next week
