Just wondering

What is the official stance on yowies by the Australian government? I'm not interested in conspiracy theories or "I believe" type stuff.

Does the government have an official stance on the existence (even if only possible) of yowies?

There are plenty of other things in the aussie bush and waterways to be wary of, and signs exist to warn us all...but is there any mention of the (if only possible) existence of large hominids in official government statements?

There isn't an official stance because it's not an official/scientifically-recognized creature. Unless they're relating a story or their personal opinion a government bod would refer the agreeded scientific view that there is no verfiable /serious evidence for the creature.

To paraphrase or extrapolate from what one (Aussie) scientist said in a documentary: get some proper footage and they'll take a look at it.
