Hey all, im just wondering if theres many people in Victoria that like to walk the bush in search of the yowie? Im in the yarra valley and the only person i can take with me is my 4 year old so i dont ever go into thick terrain. At our farm i go looking with her but im more teaching her how to respect the bush and the animals aswell as making memories for her years after im gone. Just wondering if anyone would like to come up to noojee with me sometime to have a look. Had an experience there while looking for lace monitors and has made me feel a bit creeped out walking the bush alone, ive heard they are more likely to attack someone thats on there own. If theres any groups or anything I'd be keen to do a meet up. Tad boring being the only person i know that has an intrest.. cheers everyone

Look up the Victorian Yowie field Research Organization on Facebook. You might fine someone that would go out with you.

Gday Gecko , I live down Frankston way and go to the Noojee / Walhalla area all the time , if you want we could catch up and I can show you some stuff
that will make you say mmmmm , I too have converted my wife into a believer , I have found a fair few " structures" footprints inc some castable ones , heard
unexplainable vocalizations and the last time I was camping there I was seen off by some ( I mostly camp there alone ) . I am currently thinking about going for a hike up a small creek I have found .
Send me a pm if you are interested in catching up
Cheers Greg

Like Yowiedan said..... But at a later stage for sure! Right now the coppers are full of steam and on a massive power trip. Give it a while.

I too am from the Yarra ranges and keen to head out and research. Once the lockdown is over of course as I work with vulnerable people and need to keep social distancing measures in check for now.
But once all of this stuff is over id definitely be keen to grab a coffee or something and discuss finding some peeps/areas to research with and around?

Hey all,
Sign me up too.
I've only been interested in the last six months or so but I'm definitely keen to explore deeper into the wilderness.
The Vic Yowie FB is not helpful in the slightest. Perhaps a messenger group would suffice?
Elwood based.
Thanks,
CK

Hi all,
Longtime believer after a scary Yowie encounter back in 1994 (Aged 16) in Woronora, NSW.
I've been living in VIC now since November, Ringwood Nth/Park Orchards area. There's plenty of thick bush around me in Warrandyte & Wonga Park area. I often wonder if there's any cryptids about or any other believers

as there's been no reports I can find in this general area...
The Dandenong Ranges aren't that far away. I'm yet to investigate this area properly

I'm an avid lover of the great outdoors, hiking & camping & swimming etc. One rule since my encounter is I NEVER

go it alone in the bush, Day or Nite!
I was swimming in The Yarra on Tuesday near @warrandytegoldfields in 40° heat

and wondered if the forest giants were doing the same.
I'm also keen as anything to catch up with others from my area that have had any cryptid experiences/encounters.
Adam

I'd love to get out but I'm looking after an elderly parent so I can't get out there. For you people though, Castlemaine isn't too far from Melbourne and is worth a look. But if you have the time I'd head up to Bright/Mt Hotham area. Get out late at night, you don't have to be deep into the bush. I'll get back up there when I can.

Hi All, I live in the Yarra Valley, just wondering if anyone is interested in going for a small
hike into an area that I have had 6 encounters with something (I really don't know what it is)
which has got me on edge. I have never been worried about going into the bush alone but
that is slowly changing as I have more experiences. My wife and kids don't want me going up there alone anymore.
I have been to this particular location approx 12 times over the last 2.5 years.
The last 2 weekends I have gone up there and had 2 more experiences.
