Hey Gecko
Interesting find, had it rained overnight? The prints dont look that fresh. Have you had any activity (for want of a better word) in the area?
When at the farm do you stay in the shed near the road on which the prints where found? (as shown in youtube video) it seems to be farm land and light scrub. Sorry if i seem to be asking questions of you but im just trying to get an idea of the area and conditions. the noises your mother heard are they unusual for the area? last question, how many prints did you find and what was the distance between them?
Thanks for posting Gecko.

Hey mate, my parents (in there 70s) stay up there most of the time during this lockdown to escape people and to keep an eye on the cattle incase they get out. About 7 years ago there was a caravan where the cabbin is now, thats where i would stay, i heard a growl / raw about 4:45am, that morning we found 4 sheep dead with only there legs removed, mum and dad laughed at me when i told them something was in the bush the night before.. when mum heard the growl last week she told me that she instantly remembered me saying something about it years ago, we love our animals and did help for wildlife for 12 years, we look after all creatures of the bush except for the cats and foxes, even mum knew this animal was something different, i went up to the farm about 2 days later, mum and dad were in another section of the farm so i decided to quickly look for tracks while i waited for them, so the prints are about 2 days old and no rain that i know of, i estimated the steps to be about 1.5 meters apart, later i found what looked like a childs print but when i went to get my plaster casting gear and returned all prints had gone from the gravel track. Farm is also in central victoria. Cheers mate

Hi Gecko, sounds interesting. When you said you went back to make a plaster cast you said prints were gone. How did this happen, were they removed or was it the weather/elements?
Sorry about your sheep!

Haha i was ment to eat those sheep! The bigger prints were still there but to shallow for a cast, the smaller prints had either disappeard or sun light had moved making them harder to find, i noticed them after i filmed the larger prints when my parents had returned, i went to show dad the larger prints and thats when i seen the others a bit further down the track, maby something watched me filming its prints earlier and seen i hadn't found the others yet so once i noticed them, it didn't want anyone knowing it had a little one with it so covered them up when i left.. even a light breeze could of blown leaves and dust that covered it. I really dont know
Cheers mate

Hey Gecko
It does look like a print especially the first one you come across in the video,
The only question I have is how big or how far does the bushland that backs onto the property go? There are reports of Yowies popping up in some odd places however such as farmland, so a small bush block doesn't necessarily mean they are not there.
Regards.

G'day GECKO! Interesting photo/video, thanks for sharing it, mate.
Just out of curiosity...how tall are you, and what size boot do you wear? In the video, you say the footsteps are about 1.5m apart. Did you mean left foot to left foot? If so, that's not an overly big step (unless the maker was moving very cautiously...maybe crouching??) You seemed to step it out pretty easily...that's why I ask about your height and boot size.

I was going to mention this in the video, im not a big fella, size 8 boot, each step (left to right) would of been about 1.3 to 1.5 meters, im a fencing contractor and measuring some wire fencing i use 1 step that is spot on 1 meter, these were a tad bigger, first print to me looks smaller but that makes me think the second print has a deeper big toe and looks more scuffed, maby it took off to the right scuffing that last print a bit. First print would be about 9 to 10 inches i suppose.

Cheers GECKO. Is that a private road where you found the tracks, or is it accessible to anyone? In the video, you step the prints out with relative ease and I thought you said the prints look like 1.5m left to left foot. Judging by how many steps it takes for you to walk from the fence line to the road (roughly 20 or so) I'd assume the road is about 10-15m away. Is the dog in the video yours or your Mum and Dad's? If it is your parents...did it react on the night??

No i think about it, it would be closer to 2.4 meters from left to left, my steps in the video would be a tad larger than normal, for me a normal step is about .700 so when i step from the first print to where i guessed the right step would be, it would of been about 1.2 meters. Na thats my dog and shes the dog that was speechless when i heard the beast a few years back. The track is almost impossible to find so if your interested in having a look ill p.m you and send you a map.

Hi Gecko
There were two Bendigo sightings 2010-11, and we’ve had recent activity in Hepburn Springs, Blackwood and Creswick. Whereabouts in Bendigo is the farm?
Cheers
