Yowiehunters Forum

I'd like to pick the forum's brain trust. Does anyone have any information on yowie activity, other than the two reports I have found in the yowie hunters database, around or in the Bungonia national park? I'll be camping there for a couple of nights soon. Any reports new or old would be appreciated. Thanks in Advance. Dave.

Not sure of anything I can add, other that what you have found already.

Seems like a nice spot and I am sure Yowies would be there.

If you are keen on a look around then try an early morning walk when its still dark say from 1-2am on-wards, oh and keep an eye out for things in the sky to.

Hi Dave, had a look at some of your videos re your link in initial post. I'm interested to see how your gift station goes, sounds really interesting. Going to try that this weekend myself. Just good to go bush again - sick of 4 walls, especially having to work from home. I'm assuming now you are able to go back into national parks, etc you will be setting up your gift station in the area. Good luck!

Hi rowbe, yeah I'm going stir crazy. Namadgi is still closed from the fires but there is still nsw to explore. The gifting is just a stab in the dark. There is a place I can't get to that I want to try something a bit more permanent.
Anyway if we never go we never know eh.

Just go in, don't worry about that. If 10,000 protesters can March all over Sydney and other cities all over Australia then anything closed is now open slather.

Ha! Dan this is the socialists republic of Canberra. It's not the fines I'm afraid of it's the 12 month reeducation camp.

Thankyou to those who have responded. I have been contacted by someone very experienced with the yowies there thanks to this post. A two hour conversation on the phone ensued and plans have been made to meet up.

Bungonia NP is not that large in the great scheme of things, but if you zoom out the map at www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/visit-a-pa ... ional-park you see it abuts the Bungonia SCA and the much larger Morton NP. Haven't bushwalked there in yonks (gettin' old).
