I recently camped down in Marramarra National Park with a guy who was there when I recorded the Loud howls a few years back. Because of Covid the Marramarra campground was booked out even though we later found out no one camped there. We stayed 2ks away at the Orchard Campground but hiked the 2ks to look around near the Marramarra Campground. I recorded some very weird sounds while we were near the Marramarra Campground. My new Parabolic picked up some very weird sounds.

Yeah Yowiedan
I remember watching and listening to this video around two weeks ago.
There is definitely some strange stuff heard around the 14:00 min mark which sounds like chimps screeching? and what sounds like something splashing around in the water not far past that? certainly intriguing. You do have to turn up the volume a bit to hear it.
I also remember hearing what I thought sounded like a car going past about half way through, was it close to a road?
Otherwise seems like a great area and that parabolic comes in handy thats for sure.

Hi Dion.
Firstly, I will say that my Parabolic Dish is very strong and can pick up sound from very far away. Also, some sounds that can't be heard by your ears can be picked up by the Parabolic when they reverberate there way down the valley. I'm adding a picture and the direction I was pointing the Parabolic. There is a small creek that we couldn't cross because it was high tide. That's where we stayed to record. The red arc is the area I scanned during this time. No roads nearby and the ridge is very steep there. So the sounds picked up that you say are vehicle related are from afar.
