Mount Coree - ACT - Australia

Hi All,

I'm new to this site and live in Canberra, Australia....Hi Everybody !

I was wondering if anybody has knowledge or personal experience of Yowie sightings around Mount Coree, or more specifically Mount Coree Summit Road in the Brindabella Ranges ?

This weekend past, I stopped about 3/4 the way up Summit Road to move some large rocks and got a strong sense I was not alone when I got out of my 4WD... the feeling was strong enough that I turned around and drove back down immediately,
Granted there could be bush walkers in the area,
But it was late in the day, cold temperatures, strong winds and snow had fallen in places,
Further, I saw no vehicles or camp sites at the base,

To giver some perspective, I grew up in the Australian bush and have spent most of my adult life exploring remote locations,
but this particular area in the Brindabellas has a different feel about it...at least to me it does,

I've checked various internet sites / Youtube channels and didn't find anything specific about this area, so I'm hoping somebody out there might be able to help,

Cheers, MJ

Contact David that has a YouTube Channel called South East Yowie Research. He's from the Canberra region.

Hi MJ,
Welcome to the site. That's pretty full on, to feel uncomfortable enough to turn back around and leave immediately!
Was it just the feeling you weren't alone?

Hi Bluedog,
Yes, just an odd feeling I had company,
Maybe I'm getting a little soft with old age !

stand on top of Coree and look to the west.
it's mountains as far as you can see, all the way to Blowering Dam.
those mountains go all the way south to the Vic border, anything could be living in there...
