Reconnecting with the bush

Unread post by Bluedog »

On a recent 10 day camping trip to Kroombit tops I noticed that after a few days I was Noticing, smelling and hearing things that I didn't pick up on straight away. Disconnection from civilisation made me more aware of the environment I was in.
Just how in tune would a intelligent creature with thousands of years of evolution be in its natural environment be?
I believe incredibly so!
An intelligent creature in its natural environment would so in tune (for want of a better word) would seem to be almost paranormal.
Elite soldiers, snipers are almost impossible to spot in the bush.
I speculate it would be impossible to find yowie unless it chose to present it self to us.
What do you reakon?
The more I learn, the less I know.

I couldn’t agree more. They basically outclass us in every way that matters. Speed, stealth, bushcraft, diversionary tactics etc etc. science has no history or track record of “discovering” creatures that are superior to us.
Which in my mind explains why it hasn’t yet.

Spot on Bluedog

Most of us are usually got our head in ones phone oblivious as to what is going on around us or they are stuck in front of the TV, Computer, or listening to loud music etc. Technology has its benefits but in my opinion its also a curse on society.

Haha, I'm hearing you Dion, the smart phone is one of the dumbest things we as humans have ever done.
I'm amazed when I'm people watching at just how consumed people are by there phones?
Couples sitting in cafes not talking with each other, teenagers texting each other from 5 metres away, we are quickly losing the art of conversation!

Believe it or not but there are some wacko's out there that want to merge technology with humans so we become half robots or super humans.
