Dashcam ghost... or something else?

Some fascinating dashcam footage in today's 7 News.
It clearly shows what looks like a small child on a busy road at night.
Could something like this be faked?... or course! This spooky vision could easily be produced in a professional video editing suite.
However, that said, there is no reason to doubt the authenticity of this clip. It would always be helpful to know the person who was driving.
The truth is no matter how good the video is, even if a 10 foot tall Yowie were captured on dashcam, (and I hope it's just a matter of time) there will always be 'doubting Thomas' types amongst us.
What's your opinion?

A typical example of the police or anyone for that matter trying to explain away the inexplicable. I agree with Thecreeper that the image doesn't look like a child it's not a recognizable image of anything really. The image while not blurry is undefined much like images of Yowies or Bigfoot although I do believe it is genuine. Another example of the unexplained world we live in today.

Being in the states right now I can't watch the video. Channel 7 doesnt let me access there videos from the usa. Alas there goes my dreams of watching the highly respected docuseries called housos i hear all the time about.

nonetheless I agree though with you three (searcher, thecreeper and sensesonfire) that it is another example of just how strange the world really can be. Regarding roadside ghosts i have an experience with just that topic.

In my younger years i used to enjoy driving through the neighborhoods in the hollywood hills just to look at the houses and daydream a little of what it would be like to live in one so nice. Anyways, one time around ten at night i was slowly driving down one of the streets and up ahead in my headlights i saw a jogger or someone going out for a late night walk. They were in the center of the road and hiking up hill.

As i got closer i began to realize something looked off or wrong, and the person walking was taking no notice of the approaching headlights of my car. It just kept walking down the center of the road. So i flipped on my hi-beams to get a better view and perhaps their attention.

It was then i realized that the walker was just a pair of sepia coloured legs without a torso casually strolling up the road. And at times it went between being "solid" and semi translucent. I was looking at a partial apparition.

I remember pulling up to about fifteen feet behind the specter and simply idling along watching dumbfounded. After a few seconds it simply dissolved and vanished.

G'day bassplyr.

Here's a screen grab of the video to give you some idea of what the dashcam captured.

Hey... that was quite an experience you had in the Hollywood Hills! Definitely creepy.
