Dean Harrison & His AYR crew thermal footage.

Unread post by yowiedan »

There have been a few Yowie Researchers who have been saying Dean's thermal video footage may not be real. Well, this is my 5 cents on this as the 2 cent coin isn't in circulation. I have been using this thermal monocular for some time now and I know its capability more than most. What I saw with Dean and his crew's footage was very awe-inspiring. The main factor that nearly everyone has missed is the contrast of the colour of the original footage. You cannot see any changes in heat signatures in the original footage. What I mean is if it was a hoax and someone was wearing multiple jumpers or a ghillie suit etc, that it would give off a different heat signature all over the body. If you wear a jumper etc, it folds and gives off many different heat signatures that are not the same as what dean and his crew captured on the thermal. I recently went out with some friends researching and took this picture with the same thermal and compare it to Deans. In the one, I took from around 40 mtrs away you can see the different heat signatures compared to Deans Footage.

Agree Dan. I thought that would be obvious to everyone but seemingly not. The nail in the evidence coffin is the sizes of the subject. A man in a suit on stilts would stick out like a sore thumb. I actually can't see how anyone could doubt the evidence shown in the follow up video. It's clear cut. Case closed..

Thaaaaank you Dan.

Appreciate your cents.

It’s all real. We have no financial gain being involved in any hoax. It’s hard enough keeping the night on plan. Entry and exit etc takes a lot of time and energy. It’s taxing on the body, and some of us aren’t getting any younger. The others I mean....

We didn’t travel 25 years to this pony, only hoax something.

This is our passion. It’s what we do. And Buck, thankfully, did it right.

It's great footage. Unfortunately, there will always be some who don't believe. For a few, could be a case of jealousy rather than scepticism.

Great footage Dean and Co.

Shazz has pointed out in the original thread that the subjects are naked in the thermal footage otherwise id never thought of it. Normal people do not know anything about thermal or yowie research tech so this is just a curiosity to them.

If yowie researchers are slagging off the footage its because they are probably jealous. I hear its very competitive...

That still photo from the u.s is also the real deal imo. Anyone that has actually seen one would know. Just look at its funny legs!

Yeah I wondered about those legs myself! Is that what yowie/Bigfoot legs look like though? I couldn’t help but think everything except the face looked like a bear. Especially those legs!

We don't have bears in Australia.

No I was referring to the FLIR image from the US - I couldn’t help but notice how strange the legs looked. I know we don’t have bears here :)

Agree Yowiebait, the insulation provided by clothing is definitely easy to pick up compared to the "Yowies" pic. I'm interested to see/hear if/how their behaviour will change (if any) once they work out we have a way of seeing them at night.

On a different note, I thought Dean did a great interview on Sunrise. Usually Koshie ridicules anyone that comes on re yowie sightings, etc. Dean didn't go off into Koshies tangents - Koshie , I think, was more respectful and even requested Dean keep them up to date re future sightings/research. Great work, Dean's has 25 years experience dealing with interviewers certainly was revealed.

As far as those that don't believe the pics are real, for some it would take one to walk right up to them and even then I think they would still have doubts.

I hope the Yowies don't start wearing human clothes like thongs and footy shorts and flannies with ciggy packets tucked under them, otherwise we will never find em again.

Who knows where evolution will end up, maybe uggs instead of thongs in winter.

I was recently talking to someone about my encounter and described sloth like arms,a bulls torso with bear legs. Its more to describe the proportions but yeah those legs on that alleged tree hugging bigfoot are very much like what I saw.

Ive also heard and read descriptions of shorter legs in quite a few Yowie witness reports.

I agree. It was quite respectful of the Sunrise team compared to other smarty pants interviewers I have seen. Dean was great. He is a real pro by now. Hopefully more footage and interviews in the future!

A few of the more skeptical types I know have said flir or heat signatures and night vision is not enough for them and would not even look at the footage (!!) while others have sent me links and are very enthusiastic about it.

I’d been sitting on the fence waiting for someone to call it fake, as I always do, you guys know me by now “if you didn’t see a yowie do it, then it probably didn’t “ but the footage for me is amazing, well done to everyone and I hope a critical eye is welcome , don’t get me wrong, I’ve seen one but just get narky at BS and blury photos of burnt stumps. It’s so bloody exhausting.

This short article gives account of two Aboriginal legends. The first comes from the Jirringan (which Mathews also spelled as Dyirringan) tribe of the New South Wales South Coast. Told to Mathews by an informant known as Jerry, it concerns the Yarroma, large hairy men who are found in pairs and stand back to back so they can look in every direction. They use different ruses to catch and devour men.
