Possible yowie signs on fire road

Me and my family were hiking on rd 6 near just outside of Healesville when we started coming across lots of sticks driven into the ground about up to 5cm deep. They were everywhere. we decided to camp up there for the night. I walked further up the road/track and kept seeing these sticks. there was a big one that was driven into the ground, possibly the biggest we’d come across so far. It was about 8 - 9 ft tall. I tried pulling it out to see how deep it was but struggled. I don’t think a stick (this was more like a branch it was pretty wide) can just fall from a tree and land perfectly in an upright position into the ground. the road led to an intersection and there were more sticks. I also think I might’ve come across a few footprints as well. This was in between Mt Riddle and Box hill (black spur).

Good find Morgan, I would have been scared senseless finding this and knowing what it could be from...... If that is a foot print, It is one massive creature to leave an impression that deep. As for the branch in the ground, I reckon that would have taken some effort even for one of these beings to spear into the ground like that.

As soon as I saw that footprint, I felt a rush of fear and realisation that something big was there…
