The Quinkins and Turramulli the Giant Quinkin.

Unread post by Dion »

Many of you will be familiar with these two books, as am I, The Quinkins by Percy Trezise and Turramulli the Giant Quinkin by Percy Trezise and Dick Roughsey. I remember reading them both as a child and they always stuck with me for some reason. Anyway I came across these two Youtube video's of them today and thought I would share them here.

Enjoy.

I remember it well. It was the book I borrowed most from my primary school library back in the ‘80s.

Speaking of Quinkins, Sarah Bignell has done a great and interesting interview with a guy from the Northern Territory in her latest 'Yowie Central' Podcast.

He speaks of seeing a tall black like creature but also looking rather human with a Cat like head with big eyes. Could this be one of the Quinkins the indigenous called a "Timara"?
