Daisy Hill Park rock formations

Hey all,

Went for a walk around daisy Hill reserve with my partner and the dog. From 10 mins I to the walk which lasted 2.5 hours we had this every feeling of being watched. At one point I see my partner looking at the foliage in our right and after a bit her face turns white and tells me to hurry the F up, later on she describes what she saw as a brown Jack squatting and looking, prior to seeing this we came accross this strange rock formations and went past them, Perhaps hikers made them but there were also lots of trees bent and put together in many different and bizarre ways in the foliage.
Towards the end I was on high alert scanning the environment but couldn't see anything, prior to getting to the end of the hike we felt what sounded like something standing in a bush in our rear maybe 15 metres away from us, we were already on edge and as we heard that we just ran to the car, afterwards we both agreed on what we heard and felt.

What are everyones thoughts on the rock formation? Yowie doing or just hikers?

Thanks

Did your dog have any reaction or appear to detect anything Cyclone?

Early last year while out doing bird photography, Really close to Geelong, I came across a stack of 3 rocks, one large, a medium and a small rock stacked neatly. The field where I found this, Whoever owned the patch of land was clearing rocks as there was massive piles of rocks and then this stack was about 20 mtrs away. I found it strange ( and I say this lightly) that 3 rocks appeared to have been purposely placed like this.

Anyway, I took photos which I still have and kept driving past the stack over the proceeding weeks to see if anything changed, maybe it was just coincidence but things like this and what you experienced leave this lingering doubt in the back of the mind.

cheers Ron.

Sorry, Daisy Hill near Brisbane?

A lot of parks around the place have rock stacks. Lots of people and mountain bikers frequent the area - I don't know why a yowie would make a rock stack when there are more subtle markers.

However your encounter is very interesting. On the main page there are two encounters. One is 2013 and one is 1999 from Dean Harrison... So there's definitely potential there.

Cool.

The area does have a history.

I had a major encounter there many years ago, where I was being followed, before being rushed at. It was quite an experience. I was there due to a previous rumored sighting.

Others have had direct daylight sightings.

I see these rock formations all throughout the Blue Mountains in NSW. Tourists and hikers in general make them, I really don't know why. But when I'm way off trail and I stumble on similar formations I tend to take notice, why, because who would go a kilometre or two bush bashing and make a rock formation where no one will see it.
