Maybe this is an immature animal, perhaps newly out on its own and learning about the world and staking a new territory.
Sounds like an IDEAL candidate for investigation, someone might finally get some solid proof if they pursue this animal.

Definitely sounds like a junjadee.

I don't really get the junjadee. Is it vicious? Or playful? I've read so many conflicting reports.

Example: if you're smoking whilst walking in junjadee territory, they're more likely to follow you around. They have huge claws, whilst other sightings say they have normal hands, albeit smaller.

Someone help me out here!@

Perhaps the Junjadee are more curious than vicious?

Perhaps, their percieved viciousness, is only when
they are cornered or the territory encroached upon.

From what I've been told, they're a small, stocky, brawny version of the yowie.

They're more playful and more curious. I've never come across one before, however one of my bandmates is aboriginal. His relatives have spoken of them on a few occasions.

I think I've mentioned this a few times, but apparently they like to wrestle and fight. They're really strong, and if you overpower one, they don't forget, you have a friend for life. Don't know how true it is, but I've heard it more than once. One of my mate's uncles told me a story of how one dragged a mate of his out of a bush cabin in the middle of the night..... he didn't make a new friend but. Copped a floggin.

They also say if your smoking in junjadee territory, they'll follow you because they want some. They've told me if you feel someone following you, put it down and keep walking. Not real safe when it comes to bushfires, but.

I've never really heard of too many cases of them being overly aggressive.

Yeah mate, a mate of mine is aboriginal, and he told me about them. Supposidly where I live they're around here somewhere.

I think I was followed once, but, if it was one, i scared it or something.
Walking back from a friends place, was pissed off i had to walk. Having a smoke, heard something walking along in the bush beside me. Got even more pissed off, ran towards the bushline ready to hit anything that came within striking distance. Heard whatever it was hightail it away. Only after the adrenaline wore off, did I think about what it could have been and well, promptly hightailed it out of there.

Maybe the hands being hands or claws depends more on the view of the witness than the actual state of the hands?

Apparently Cropper and Healy have focused a section of their book on documenting Junjadees as well.

"Although most witnesses describe hairy, ape-like creatures between five and eight feet in height, the authors have collected many reports of little hairy hominids. Aboriginal people refer to the smaller type as (among many other names) junjudees and invariably insist they not juvenile yowies, but an entirely different type of creature. This might seem rather confusing, but as Cropper and Healy unveil the massive amount of data in their yowie and junjudee files and examine various theories relating to the origin of both creatures, considerable light is shed on the matter. One particularly interesting theory that they explore is a possible relationship between junjudees and the hobbit-sized human remains of Homo floresiensis, recently discovered on the island of Flores, just north of Australia."

Tell me more about the book. Is it as good as predicted?

It's a really good read - very thorough and professionally written. I especially appreciate the annotation - (end notes to source their information).
The only downside is that the book seems to draw considerably from the reports on this website - most of the cases seem to be the same, with some quotes apparently taken directly from the audio interviews you've heard on here.
But as I say it's a good book.

speaking of the junjadee, me & a friend were possibly chased by one last night. I'm not saying for sure, but what else in the australian bush walks on two legs? at first, i didn't think of anything & yelled, then it paused, and started to move faster.

As i said, i don't know what else walks on 2 legs which lives in the australian bush. it wasn't a yowie, i'm sure of that.

The Megalong case was very interesting.
The witnesses appeared to be telling the truth and a previous incident had happened in the same areas several years ago.
What was wacky..
The witnesses gave a rough description of the same image as cropper and healy have on their American edition cover.
Now if they did not see the image on the net...then what are the odds.
That I find weird.

That is true.

They report seeing an upright-walking creature with shaggy reddish-brown hair, carrying a dead kangaroo with two protruding canine teeth from the mouth.

It is a possiblity that this is a hoax. However, we are talking about the same creature.

Could it be that somehow the artist of the cover created the yowie portrait to an exact likeness?

I dont think its a hoax, the witnesses on video appeared to be telling the truth.
And what are the odds, they decide to hoax a report, in a location that had a previous report that they would not have been aware of.

I see what you mean. Quite a coincidence...

Certainly gives merit to the report. There's something about this one I like, the more I learn about it, the more intruiged I become.

The horses refusing to go down the trail nearly a week later was very interesting.

yeah,i wonder if it must live in that area.a week later i would think any scent would have weakened.and sightings in the same area????thats a zone to stake out for sure.
