Just went with my old man to mount cordeaux, good day, lots of wildlife and breathtaking views. after reaching the top we went on to a place called bare rock, a lookout consisting of a large rock platform.
On our way here i noticed trees had been broken and rocks that had outlined the path had been thrown everywhere. on this path there was also a sculpture of sorts, consisting of several rocks piled on top of each other.
At this point there forest became pretty thick and i noticed a strange smell, it alsmost smelled like livestock, kind of like the smell you get when pigs or horses or cows are really concentrated, perhaps this was a smell made by a yowie (could possibly be madmade by wild pigs, but threre was no evidence of them like gore marks in the ground and on trees).
I didnt get the feeling of being watched at all, nor did i actually see one but its worth some thought. also interesting to note there were dead birds all over the path, but this could possibly be due to the resurgent Quoll population. Plently of caves in this area for yowies to hide. I also think the mountain is nearish to mount tambourine, but dont quote me on that.
thoughts opinions??
cheers
