Kilcoy Yowies

Unread post by Romeo »

Hey everyone.

I design sportswear for a living, and I'm just about to start work on the KILCOY YOWIES RUGBY LEAGUE jerseys for next season.

I thought that was pretty cool. It seems to be quite a popular name for footy sides. I'd say at least 50% of the league sides from inland aboriginal communities that we design jerseys for adopt the yowie as their emblem.

Yeah, and instead of State of Origin they could have Species of Origin. You know what they say, the bigger they are, the harder they fall...

But there would have to be a new set of rules....no biting or limb-tearing.

Just a note of interest - The young football team from Urbenville are referred to as the Yowies by the locals and also from their oppostion team from Bonalbo.
