Tree breaks can be put into 4 categories-
Twists-Where the tree is twisted in one direction
Breaks- where the tree is broken and laying over
Pulled out of the ground- just as it says
Breaks where the trees have been layed over but are held down by other timber or rocks.
Anyone seen anything like this.

You will find it in any active area. The twists are far more conclusive.

Conclusive to what?

Conclusive to the fact is wasn't simply wind damage or an animal brushing through the foliage (depending on the size and height of the branch). More likely something has had a grip on the branch/twig and twisted it around.

I have located some tree breaks that have had bird nests in them. The branches have been bent at about 7ft and bent forwards an opening in the branches.
The nests were in tact but the contents removed.
