Australian sighting

Unread post by ausie-sighting »

Hi everyone, I am actualy speaking on behalf of a freind of mine who is sitting here with me now. He sighted what he believes to be a yowie about 15 years ago but has never reported the sighting due to fear of being ridiculed, after finding this website he has decided to share his story with people like yourselves who may see the serious side of what he has to say, I am typing this for him as he isnt a quick typer but he is dictating to me what to say, so this story is in his words:

I was looking for surveyers pegs boardering state forrest and free hold land in super thick vine scrub in the sunshine coast hinterland in queensland australia.
it was about 9am on a rainy day and I aproached a ridge near the top of a mountain when my dog freaked out and ran away, I imediatly looked at what had scared the dog and saw what looked like a gorilla with a pale face lifting vine scrub and running down the ridge untill it covered aproximatly 600 meters with echoing sounds of vines and trees cracking. around the same time in the same area had heard a huge howl wich sounded like a cross between a bull roaring and a huge horn, other times I have heard strange noises and thumping sounds near by. And I have never been back to that spot since.
I have spoken to other people over the past 15 years who have similar storys from the same area which has convinced me it is still there. In the very near future I am now willing to revisit the spot with the hope of getting photographic evidence of it. but I definatly wont be going alone.
