A theory.

Now, I know we've all dicussed whether the Yowie is flesh & blood or paranormal. I've been doing some serious thinking, and have come up with this.

What if Yowies have their own form of ESP. I did a little research and found this.
http://perso.wanadoo.es/percasso/Is_there_more.htm wrote: I believe these faculties have, over time, lost most of their survival value among humans and domesticated animals and hence degenerated considerably so that they are now weak and uncontrollable. Once possessed, they probably deteriorate with age, as they no longer have he same survival value once we have procreated. But they are probably intact among many wild animals, e.g. fish, termites, bees, birds of passage and prey, apes etc. Moreover, their possession is probably selective so that not all animals have possessed all of them.
From what we believe, Yowies are a form of Ape. Which means, by scientific standards, they do most likely have a primitive form of ESP.
Some traits of this ESP include:
  1. Communicate instantaneously at large distances with humans or animals without the use of the normal senses (telepathy).
  2. Acquire information about distant events without the apparent "intervention" of living beings (clairvoyance).
  3. Acquire information about future events, often in the form of dreams (precognition).
  4. The ability to perhaps influence matter, either at a distance or by contact, referred to as PK (psycho-kinesis).
This would explain Dean's "feeling" during Operation Rotation.
Dean wrote: As he stepped up into the dense Rainforest, he was immediately hit by a wall of "Icy Air" to the likes of which he had not experienced for many years. The hairs on his body stood on end as these odd icy sensations chilled him. He stopped for a reality check, "Was this just a mere figment of his imagination?" He thought to himself. He ran through all the most likely causes of such instant fear, however the "Psychology Meter" said that he was fine, and it was not his imagination doing this to himself! This is always an important process that people should perform when in such situations. Always take a step back and analyze yourself, making sure that the fear is not self produced. You can rationalize your dilemma and position, then make a more rational and informed decision for your next move knowing your Psyche is in good working order. In this case, it was definitely an 'external' matter.
Maybe it wasn't fear, but a warning from a Yowie saying "go away, we don't need you here". It links directly back to the first item in the list.
This ESP would explain alot of things actually. The feelings people get when Yowies are around, other tree knocks, when only one Yowie is known to be in the area (psychokenesis), and the "aura" that is generally around when Yowies are walking around. The whole bush going silent, nothing moving, etc.

..that was me just thinking, I don't know if it has any back-up.. but if it does, i'd like to know more about it. :D

Hey Alex

Good post!

Found this on the net the other day, goes into the telepathy of animals!

Quotes from a feature article by Nedda Wittels, Nov 24, 2004

Animal Communication, or telepathy with animals, is as common an occurrence in some people's lives as it is an oddity in the lives of others. Telepathy is an energetic exchange between two sentient beings for the purpose of communication. Combined with body language and sometimes vocalizations, animals use this form of communication among themselves and even across species.
Only humans in Western Civilization in the last 2500 years have rejected this form of communication. Indigenous peoples all over the planet consider messages from animal guides a natural part of life, and shamans or medicine men and women, rely on their animal helpers in their spiritual service to their communities.
Native peoples around the world consider themselves part of the "web of life". This web includes the subtle energetic pathways that allow for intuitive and psychic energy exchanges. This includes our auric field and the subtle energetic pathways known as meridians, as well as the ley lines of the Earth, who is thought of universally as our Mother, a part of us and of whom we are all a part.
Telepathic communication, then, is as natural as breathing. Many small children in our culture who have animals in their families communicate telepathically with them even in infancy. It is only in response to the pejorative comments of adults and older siblings, and eventually of their peers, that we either stop using our telepathic abilities or relegate them to the realm of imagination, i.e., outside reality.
Telepathy can be thought of as an expansion of intuition. Intuition is often relegated to a place not remotely related to intelligence or sound decision-making. We live in a culture which teaches us to take pills when we are sick and ignore the subtle and not-so-subtle messages of our body telling us we need to rest and re-create itself. We rationalize that we must do this to pursue the almighty dollar. Being so out of touch with ourselves is a symptom of being out of touch with others.
Our educational system also rejects the intuitive, creative aspects of our intelligence as soon as budget cutting is required. Even in healthy economic times, we are taught to develop our logical, sequential, analytical thinking, focusing on mathematics and science as the most valued subjects, with the arts and music at the bottom of the pile.
How, then, can we restore our natural talents to include our birthright of telepathic communication? Spending time with animals and in nature is a beginning, but not sufficient. Learning to communicate telepathically requires breaking down limiting assumptions and beliefs that have caused us to reject this aspect of our Being.
Animals are spirit in physical bodies, just as humans are. The bodies they inhabit are very different in form and sensory systems from the human body, and that has a lot to do with how they experience the world. It also affects how humans and animals communicate with each other.
Telepathic communication includes a wide variety of vibrational frequencies that allows for full communication at many levels, including mental images or pictures; physical sensations; words, phrases, and even whole sentences; knowings; intuitions; and emotions. I actually experience in some way what the animal is experiencing.
While animals who live with humans often learn to understand specific words in the preferred spoken language of the human, animals are simultaneously receiving our thoughts and emotions, which we broadcast unconsciously all the time. If our thoughts are jumbled and confused because of our frenetic lifestyles and mental states, the animal may not understand the message completely.
All animals are, in fact, sentient beings - conscious and intelligent, with life purposes and goals. They are aware of themselves and of their situations. They are capable of feeling the entire range of emotions we so arrogantly have labeled "human". They make life choices. They often express unconditional love for the humans who are part of their families.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As for me I have no doubt about the aura being a energy form that is able to have a certain degree of, lets say ?awareness? of its surroundings and the ability to receive information from other sources through its sensitiveness.

?Thoughts? too have potency and they can be ?felt?, ?heard?, and ?seen?. That may come as a surprise to some, but it?s true. If someone is in-tune to them you can feel, hear and see them, a clairvoyant is a classic example.

In fact there are many levels of consciousness that are still not fully understood or accepted by the majority of society.

There was a classic case of ?knowingness? just recently. Before the recent Tsunami in Asia, remote and primitive tribes moved to higher ground so did most animals. Why? Who knows, did they sense it before it came?

Here?s the link to the story http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/01-02-05.asp

For me spirit consciousness is capable of many great things!

Cheers all

I believe in this and have seen it many times with my own pet cats and dogs.
NOt only this but while hunting you never look at an animal you are after as they can feel you looking i was told once by an old school hunter to look near the creature but not at it.That would be like the feeling you get when someone is watching you or that ghostly feeling we get for them.
And any shooter here im sure has seen the same thing i have, You dont have a gun and the bloody crows are everywhere. you have your gun as the lambs are coming etc and the little smart avian S*$Ts dont come near ya.

I would link nightmares to ESP and Yowies.

I remember when I was more into the crypto stuff I use to have some shocking nightmares that I can still remember to this day.

Would it be possible that the Yowie could get inside of your head and inbed certain messages relating to your experiances?

- Logically though it would be normal fear causing the nightmares and inner fright.... but who knows anything is possible.

Here you go guys three interesting sites about telepathy and various practical mechanistic forms of it.

The first one is from a philosophical point of view. A good read.

http://www.independent-media.tv/itempri ... Philosophy

The next is purely from a money grabbing exercise, patent an idea before someone invents it. Short read

http://www.boingboing.net/2003/07/28/pa ... _cont.html

The last is a very practical and heartwarming breakthrough in science many of you may alread be aware of.

http://www.wireheading.com/misc/implant.html

All this adds some weight to people's perception that a 'Yowies percieve much more than we see'

Hope this helps.

Cheers Buck
