Nice work..looks good here..
I have a copy of "The making Of Bigfoot" by Greg Long which is pretty interesting.
Points out all the tech problems/time line problems etc.
The only bit that was slightly odd was the supposed "adaption" of the suit by Patterson by the
placing of breasts on the front of the suit...and another guy stating the suit was made out of horse skin
I think from recollection.
I have some signed photo`s by Bob Gimlin to myself.
He was the guy standing next to Patterson as he filmed it.
I live crypto trash..

i could watch this footage for hours and see something new everytime.
i have the book and dvd, sasquatch, legend meets science. the analysing of this footage by scientists is very thorough to the smallest details like the hernia type lump on pattys right thigh, also the story of the obtaining of the footage and also the investigation from other parties on the sight after the fact. an amazing read about an amazing piece of film

Awesome work muppets - that is mesmerising footage! Every time I see the Patterson footage a little voice in my head keeps asking am I seeing a legitimate Bigfoot! I am leaning to the Yes - after observing some doco/studies on the footage. One interesting website (forget which one - but I`ll post a link if I can find it) shows close up view of an apparent baby or juvenile Bigfoot attached to the larger one - I think it is attached to the front of the Patterson Bigfoot!

...the original sequence...

...the original sequence with "pinocchio"... a "clowns face" and "somebody wearing sunglasses"...

... and a close up of the three "faces"...

... is the "pinocchio" that I drew around where you thought it was lil foot???... this is more interesting than inkblot tests eh??? (jest) ... if people think that the three images are too big for the page... and are a bit annoying... just let me know and I will make them smaller to fit on the page normally...cheers... if it was made today i would question it and say most probably a fake until
proven otherwise by science, but this film being over 40 years old, i find it
almost impossible to have been a man in a suit, if anyone could have pulled
that off back then, you wouldnt hide it cos you would be snapped up very
quickly by the movie companies and made big bucks.
scientists have tried to debunk it, but other than theories they cant.
this film is my cornerstone in sasquatch and yowie belief and if it was
proven fake i would probably bow my head to the skeptics and give up
on the yowie hunt.

Aww right! Paradolia!

Personally, that gait is way human. This film has been analyzed to death by a ton of folk, both believers and not.
Its gotta be a man/woman in a suit.

It cant be proven fake in the same way it cant be proven real, so in regard to this film, we tend to revert to our default positions on the animals.

Interesting you mention the movies.

Hey there Muppets...

I'm not with you there about the gait. If Sasquatch is a lost hominid then I would expect it's gait to be relatively human in pace and tempo.

On the other hand, with regards the yowie/sasquatch footprints though, they tend to suggest by their inline nature that the beasts are more ape like than human so I guess that would tend to support your argument that the gait is too human like.

Regarding this historical footage, my concern is that it's too perfect, i.e. it's perfectly out of focus, the look back at the camera is too perfectly timed and staged, the length of the sequence is too perfectly tantalising.

That said, I've never really studied it in depth. There are far more expert than I in making these assessments.

It's still the benchmark for footage though.

Also, this footage was shot on an expedition to search for Sasquatch. It does tend to raise eyebrows when expeditions to find extremely elusive creatures that others have not found, come back with a nice piece of footage in the can. This fact has been commented on by the critics of this footage.
We do know what sort of animal has a human like gait, and this animal can and has been observed. Us.
Whereas yeti, bigfoot, yowies are still crypto. Occum's razor points us to a man in a skin.
Of course, I could be wrong, but I must go where the evidence is best.
As evidence, it is interesting, but inconclusive.

I have a copy of the print taken from the river bed at the time..I think By Bob titmus..
The base of the print does not appear to be of a normal foot..its dead flat..
After casting bucket loads of animal prints myself...I dont think the one I have is from a real animal..
Unless there was a real footprint at some stage there..this is not it...and ebay sasquatch store lied too me.
Would they have done that. ? :)
At least the signed photo off the still is real...
