Very well put Buck, I reckon you're spot on - the whole series needs to be put in perspective, no-one is calling anyone a liar. As for you wanting to see various markers, if you ever come to Brisbane, please contact me & it will be my pleasure to take you to some of our regular spots where ( hopefully ) you'll find some. :)

For a quick run-down on one of those spots, take a look at Yackams Kilcoy Expedition.

Cheers

Another thing to do train youreslf to observe people and objects some people think its easy but it is not. Thats why trained observers like military and police are so creditable in their reports.
When walking around at home or Out take note of a person or an object and try to remember there size and what they are wearing or its shape from close up and at a distance at a glance then test your observation if you can remember what you saw it gets easier in time.
And i am so jelous you got to see something :-) well done, you better get that digital camera and the hiking shoes ready looks like you have found yourself a good area to hunt in. Good luck

Ahh yes, I remember that exercise well. Very effective & sometimes the results are surprising when done in a group setting.

What i did forget was try and do this every day make it second nature and in time someone will say what did ya see and you can reply without doubt the size and shape and features. Oh and im not saying what you saw was not our friend just saying this way of training yourself for observation skills will benifit anyone who plans to be looking for odd things :-P its a good life skill to have.

Rob Mac

I would like nothing better to come and see a bunch of sticks crafted by a crafty hairy hominid.

I actually come from the Pine Rivers District in good old QLD. There's a birth due in the family sometime... so? Thanks for the offer and I will bring spare change of underwear... in case... er...

Cheers Buck

Pine Rivers District huh ? Hmmm, think I've heard of it - since I live there. Drop me a PM sometime & we'll have a yarn.
