Re: saquatch mug shot
This is, hands down the most exciting sasquatch project I've come across.
The manner in which the author creates his drawings, is identical to the way Police artists create offender profile pictures . The drawings are created as a result of the artist and witness working together through an exchange of emails of the artistic piece. Consequently, the images are as close as you're going to get to what an eye witness without a camera, actually saw.
The upshot is how many different variations there are, being reported.
This concept could easily be applied to the Australian Yowie and it would be just as interesting how many different versions of the Yowie manifest from witnesses recollections.

Re: saquatch mug shot
ya right joe, i hadnt even read the descriptions from the witnesses, just looked at the sketches. now reading what the witnesses describe and the artist putting each written description to paper in sequence is pretty amazing. if only we had an artist here in oz willing to put some time into a project of this like, would be fantastic, cos as far as i have seen, there isnt many descriptive drawings floating round of our yowie fella. the ones i have seen are uaually done by the witnesses themselves, who unfortunately dont have the best drawing skills. would be nice to put a face to our hairy friend.joe black wrote:This is, hands down the most exciting sasquatch project I've come across.

...hey Lil foot... I have actually offered to do that very thing within these forums when I posted my artwork in the "Artwork Critique Gallery" under the heading "Sticky stuff" ... here is my version of a Yowie as I see it...

...which I posted here within this link...
http://yowiehunters.net/viewtopic.php?p=9982#p9982
...here is another version based on the original drawing but with the fur going further down towards his brow... less muscular emphasis within the chest area and his fur more untidy in the head area...

I am happy to have people post descriptions of what they think needs to be changed with my drawing so that I can post a more generic version that EVERYBODY thinks a Yowie really looks like... nobody has bothered to offer their opinions so I put it down to either it being a fair enough portrayal or nobody can be bothered... either way with me... it's fine...
...I must say ... from an artistic point of view... that guy can sure as hell draw and paint well
... thanks for posting the link... cheers... Stickyfingers.

Re: saquatch mug shot
awesome job sticky!
did you do that on computer or freehand?
i dont know why no one comes forward to re create what they saw.
i know if i ever saw one id want to explain to everyone what it looked
like via sketch, and you will be my first choice mate.
