Deadpool's Movie Thread!

Unread post by deadpool »

Well, same premise as the song thread.. name your favourite movies!

Right now.. i'm not too sure. I have a ton of movies, don't know where to begin..

I WANT to see this. Paper Dolls. (its about hominids, don't worry) This is the final trailer for it:

Street Kings - if you like a bad cop goes good cop goes bad cop goes good cop kinda film
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - souly for the purpose of seeing my namesake in action (claps)
Star Trek - amazing reboot of the series.
Stand By Me - an old film based on a Stephen King short story, amazing

protip: i'm awesome for finding out how to embed youtube videos.. but I can remove it if necessary. just a matter of stripping the embed code from youtube itself and using the flash feature on the forum. if needed I can show people how to do this, if wanted.
..people don't tend to notice him standing there in the last frames..

OH MAN, WHERE DO I START!???

OK, the old faves, in no particular order, that I love and can watch over and over

Aliens trilogy
Star Wars original trilogy (Star Wars, Empire, Return of the Jedi)
The Abyss
Tremors (Kevin Bacon's funniest film ever)
The Green Mile
Shawshank Redemption
Beetlejuice
Men In Black
Lost In Space
The Fifth Element
The Truman Show
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (I know, everyone else hated it, I love it!)
Every single James Bond movie with Sean Connery or Roger Moore in it. No others
To Kill a Mockingbird (Gregory Peck legendary role)
Jurassic Park I and II
The Incredibles (Animated magic)
Sixth Sense
I am Legend (Will Smith)
Pan's Labyrinth (unbelievably great!)
Neil Gaiman's "Coraline" (all animated, scary as buggery if you are a kid)
X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Hugh Jackman *sigh* What can I say? LOL)
Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy (and I hear they are making another one)

That'll do for now, I suspect. There are loads more, but those are the goldies.

The League of Extraordinary Gentleman was awesome (haters, be gone!). Neil Gaiman made an animation? Wow, i'm going to hunt that down. The Sandman series rocked. The Fifth Element is.. well, awesome. No other words can explain.

The Mist.

I just downloaded the movie, half way through it and boy am I impressed. I've read the story, damn good - but something that caught my eye.

Image

That's Roland of Gilead from The Dark Tower Series (I plan on using this photo for a basis of a new desktop for myself). Huge fanboy nod there to the man himself Stephen King, since The Mist was a short story of his, and as some of you may know, The Dark Tower is also his.

I am in fanboy heaven right now (claps) (claps) (claps)

The movie itself? So far, very H.P Lovecraft.. tentacles 'n all. I'm loving it. It also stars the man himself Thomas Jane (The Punisher, 2004) - whom I think is a very under-estimated actor. Every role he's been in, he's got it down pat.

edit; that desktop? just finished it

THE BOONDOCK SAINTS. Best movie of all time.

I also hear that a DEADPOOL movie is in the works, and that it's going to be authentic Deadpool. Not that abomination from Wolverine... though it was kind of cool to see him on the big screen. I'm sure you know what I mean Alex... (pure_evil)

You might wanna check out the new animated flick Hulk vs Wolverine.... old 'Pool makes an appearence there too. Funny as hell, and pretty close to the source material.

Hahaha, i know they're making an "authentic" Deadpool movie. I've also seen the Hulk vs. animated movies - funny as hell. And yes, The Boondock Saints ROCK.
