Cool Brain stuff

Unread post by Jo Blose »

There's plenty of optical illusions and visual tests out there that help illustrate functioning of the human mind and human brain that we're not conscious of! I thought I'd kick off this thread with one the spelling challenged among us will enjoy...

Count the Fs

Read this sentence:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-
IC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Now count the F's in that sentence. Count them only once: do not go back and count them again.

I only got three the first time too Danial. Shazz well done, you are well above the average...

Answer:
There are six F's in the sentence.

The "average" person finds three.

Many people do not see the Fs in the word "OF". It has been argued that the human brain tends to see them as Vs and not Fs.

I'm happy being an average Joe...

Aww.... Mikka, please take a photo of your kitty!!!!!

This is the Off Topic section, so a little bit of fluff won't annoy anyone. There is nothing like a kitten to make you feel all mushy and warm inside.

Pics please! :)

that reminds me of a true story i was told years back of an old fella who went to the pound picked himself a nice lil jack or foxy took him to the tathra pier and in front of kiddys having agreat day fishing, put a huge shark hook through the side of the dog and threw it over the side as live shark bait................the problem was, it was the wrong tide and he didnt even get a bite.
ON THE OCCASION WHEN IM NOT WRONG, IM ALWAYS RIGHT!

Now back to testing your Brains and not shark fishing using live bait... (pure_evil) (lol)

In the picture below there are more than 100 known world personalities... look carefully at them...
If you can recognize at least 25 of them, then consider yourself a fairly well cultured individual.
