I was just looking up some ufo stuff on youtube and then came across this of my area. I also got a surprise to see the first person they interview is my uncle. I remember him talking about this.

Central coast has always been a bit of a hotspot for sightings. Ive seen something myself and so have my husband and boys years ago.One of the sightings sent about 10 young boys who were camping in the backyard, scurrying and screaming into the house to get their father. They told him to come out and see the ufo. He went out and he saw it and he cant explain it either. It didtn move like a comet or anything and then it took off really quick. They all saw it and then for days there were reports on the radio of the same sighting
What I saw was years agoin in late 70s. I was at a party with school friends not far up the road from where I am living now. We were on a rural property standing around a 44 gallon drum. Someone looked up and said "what is that?" and when we all looked up no one knew what it was. I can remember this very clearly. It was very very large and you could gage that by the way it blotted out the stars. You could only see this huge black area with these white lights which seemed to underneath it. There seened to be hundreds of small lights which sort of reminded me of a skyscraper at night in the distance. At first I thought it was a huge jet but then realised it wasnt the shape and wasnt going the right way for a jet that would have been going south to north. It was going across the flightpath heading west.It also sounded at first like a jet but it was an engine type noise.
This might sound stupid but the first thing that went through my mind was that it was some sort of mothercraft.
Strangely enough, my husband has said that around that time he had seen something with his mates too a there were many ufo sightings on the central coast at this time.

Would you believe, Tracey, I just started reading "The Gosford Files" last night, as a matter of fact, after purchasing a copy from eBay for about $4.95. Very interesting in that there was such a 'flap' over the Christmas and early New Year, with sightings by literally dozens (perhaps hundreds) of people, police included.
Kind regards,
Shazz

Arrh yes; that was quite a flap.
Recalled someone who saw what she described as silver pulsating spheres the size of basketballs leaving the water and shooting upwards at great speeds.
Do not want to spoil it for you Shazzior as I am sure it will be in the book. Let’s just say there were multiple witnesses and water involved in a particular incident during the flap (which made ACA).
Might fetch a copy too.

Yer that book is a rare little gem. I got it soon after it was published back in 1997 or 98? I read it in one night and the next weekend I was on the Central coast skywatching - such was its impact on me - lol. Unfortunately I didn`t have any sightings that weekend but it was a good experience to go and check out the areas described in the book. That to me always adds an extra dimension to any report, be it UFO or yowie!!! The book is basically just a detailed account of the 1996 (and late 1995) UFO flap that hit the area and is full of drawings and the odd photo. Some really amazing sightings are described.

Any conventional explanation is better than none.
Don`t bother me with the facts my mind is made up.
If one can`t attack the data, attack the people, it is easier!
Do one`s research by proclamation; investigation is too much trouble.

Hi all,
Just interested to know if anyone else has seen or heard of any sightings in the Gosford/ Central Coast area over the last few years? I've had a several recently.
Also, this sighting is one of the best in Australia!
