Thank you, Al. The success of any good message board depends on always placing principles above personalities in favor of the common cause, and Bigfoot/Yowie, IMO, is the best possible cause! There are so many brilliant people on this board, and I'm greatly impressed with all the research done on Yowies!

Don't forget to tell us about what happens on your upcoming small expedition. Even if no direct signs of Yowies are found, it's still an exciting adventure and I'm envious. But I hope you get some good track casts at least! (claps hands) (detective) (taz)

Good, whatever. Let's get back on topic. My least favorite cryptid is the troll. (jest)

Alright, play nice now kids or i'm going to have to send someone to the corner :P

Lol, Ella, you flatter me, calling me a respected researcher; i'm anything but - I just get out and about when I can and see what I can see if I do see anything; thank-you though, anyway. (claps hands)

It is amazing how many hoaxes are out there. But its a bad amazing, because for every hoax there is, its one less point of credibility for every genuine sighting/encounter someone has when they provide some kind of proof. It'll come to the day when someone captures a Blu-ray quality video of a Yowie/Bigfoot standing 3 ft from the camera doing its thing before running away when finally noticed, and the first thing people will do? Scream "HOAX!".
..people don't tend to notice him standing there in the last frames..

But DP, there are at least reasonably good hoaxes and there are atrocious, unspeakably bad hoaxes! IMO, the absolute worst was the so-called dead body of a Bigfoot in Georgia--the one Tom Discardi had a hand in. When I first saw the picture of it, I was actually offended by the nerve of anybody who would expect to be believed, even by those who had no interest or knowledge of Bigfoot whatsoever. And when a few people informed me in person that at last a Bigfoot body had been found--which is why I looked for it on the Internet in the first place--I was horrified that anyone could believe it was real! Even my own intelligence was insulted! Of course, a BF researcher would have just laughed it off, I'm sure, rather than getting shocked. :-x

All I can think of in the way of believable hoaxes were some faked footprints, which I guess are relatively simple to manufacture, with a little work.....as for most photographs, they're too blurry and distant for me to even take a guess at, but a good number of them are hoaxes too, just not as blatant as the "dead body". It's amazing what can be done to fake photographs these days. (taz) Over the years, I've become pretty skeptical of any photo or report I see unless there is more evidence to back it up.

And Alex, to me you certainly qualify as a good field researcher. You go out in the field and look for evidence of Yowies, don't you? And have a great deal of knowledge about the BF and Yowie species. (claps hands)
