I have a few idea I want to throw around to people and see what they think.

What with the new main site design.. why not change the skin of the forum to match it. Also.. I was thinking about intergrating a chatroom into the forum (which shouldn't be too hard) and perhaps a shout-box on the board index page for announcements for everyone to see without having to go to whichever forum the announcement is at.

These are just some ideas i've been kicking about in my head for a bit now and thought i'd share and see what people think.

Can't hurt to try out new ideas! I'm not sure what a "skin of a forum" or exactly what a "shoutbox" is, but I'm sure I could catch on fast enough.

Yeah that is a great idea to match the skin colour.

Also, why not have a scheduled live chat session every week or so discussing predetermined topics. For example; at 8:30pm on Thursday, EST have a live chat / debate about cryptids.

Your ideas sound good just one thing though would it be possible to include a merchandise contact header to the home page , I don't know if AYR apparel is already available but some kind of T -shirt would be trick , it could be done in camo with the AYR logo . At least it would allow us to identify like minded people when we are out and about and maybe my brother wouldn't steal it like he does with the rest of my gear . .
