yowies and ultrasounds/infrasounds/ /?

Unread post by steven 47 »

has got any idea on the conection between these and yowies , if bats use echolocation methods via ultrasounds is there any evidence that yowies may have the same or some traits like the bat , as for infrasounds , the information i can find on the internet is mixed and not clear but sounds more like talk and theory , ultrasounds , even if yowies have the ability to echolocate liveing things in the bush like bats can its a matter of finding the right frequency to tune to these ultrasonic waves , which is what im trying to do at the moment , even though theres no yowies here where i am? im just reserching and desiging and experiemnting with ideas but any input would be welcome , allso i like to arsk if anyone knows how static conductive is the yowies hair is it dry enough to hold a charge or is it oily and wouldent even conduct a static charge , any anserws may help me in designing some instraments to detect yowies .

Great questions..!!
if yowies have the ability to echolocate liveing things in the bush like bats can its a matter of finding the right frequency to tune to these ultrasonic waves
Sure..but other than bats/marine animals? and a few other creatures..what large terrestial animals use any form of ultrasonic ways..
i like to arsk if anyone knows how static conductive is the yowies hair
no one knows.. (happy)

excellent..my poorly expressd point was...if there are no reasons for anyone to believe that yowies can use compressed air waves/emf waves etc...then you would be wasting your time..
Or
If their are no land based animals other than bats...that use echo location, what reason we would there be for anyone to believe yowies use something, that other animals do not..
Great to have an electronics person here..!! (thumb up)

thats why im colecting data even rubbing your hands together produce ultrasounds and they seem to think bigfoot may produce similiar things like infrasounds and when you think how the yowie like the bigfoot being so elusive then you would have to wonder what other abilities they may have that man has not found out yet . i have an open mind for things that we dont have the anserws for yet . surely they may be more to a yowie than we may think , not just the smell and sounds it makes which yous can hear its the possible sounds you dont hear . and how it may be doing it thats the idea of my ultrasound reserching , for my experiemnts . ive got data on bigfoot and infrasounds but im trying to get other info to , ive got the data on the sydney ufo expedition cant remeber the year but they had the terrible smell drift through there camp to from a yowie and i think one of the members i think got hit by a rock throwen and they all expierienced the effects of infrasounds to while they was being watched by a yowie , it all seems to piont to what im seeking, the relationship of infrsounds to ultrasounds im looking into both , /

Why not try to build an Infrasound device, it apparently nothat difficult if your an electro-mate, when i enquried about it first with a Psychologist mate, he warned me against it when i told the frequency i was planning to " play" with, he told me that at 18-19 Hz can cause real distress confusion and pain for people/and/or mammals..and i said...well DAH..yeah ..so, then he looked at me like i was evil or something......wad i do wad i do. the zoologist fella here at work told me that 18-19 Hz will cause wildlife (kangas, canids, felids ) to freeze..panic..run etc.
So i too have been chasing the infrasound/yowie theory a little, and theres a few other from the site here that are also interested, i was sent a whole stack of "Specs" to build such a device..i think there still in my PM box

goodluck

i can help you there any infrasound device that causes pain would be the pain feiild generator its on the net i have the schematics to biuld that the pocket versiion and a more powerfull version keep in touch. the problem is one of them uses the d40d5 npn transistor and i cant get that here so may have to try something else one of the frenquencys can vibrate the eye ball and cause you to see ghosts i have files can share with you all you can handle etc if you like go to the free information society on the net the plans are there go to the electronic circiuts section, any problems ill fix it for you can email you them leave a contact

Re ultrasound-The only land based animals that I can find are bats/frogs/crickets/rats..and sloths etc.
Re infrasound-elephants,giraffes and rhino etc..
So, since Tandy found a correlation with the Infra Sound end of the spectrum...and we have large land based animals having the ability to produce it...I think that might be a better candidate.
But....
The problem is, the animals that produce both infra/ultra waves..also produce a sound wave component.
We can hear it..!!
For a hypothesis to explain the phenomena..the main problem is, people are not hearing anything at all in some of the cases, yet getting walloped by the "dread".
This has happened to me once in yowie central.
I scampered at 1 zillion kph.. (no brains)
So...that would leave a large animal, using its lung capacity to push out a low frequency/any frequency?? wave..which is silent to us.!
What normal animals can do that in the wild.?
The "danger' is , we are mixing analogies with possible causation.
The only way to "prove" any of this, would be to get a yowie vocalisation and have it analysed.
I dont know of any examples.
Re the sasquatch,
The page here is suggesting vocalisations falling primarily in the acoustic range..

getting a recording of a " yowie/sasquatch " shouldn't be that difficult..should it or does the infrasound lose something in a recording, youd need some pretty fandangle recording equiptment to record such a sound..yes?, something pocket size would be handy....i'm thinking everytime when ive been out in the scrub and get ' that" feeling", could hit the record button to maybe capture something that is not audible to me, intriguing subject though

The yowie is the holy grail....there is a few supposed sasquatch sounds..
should it or does the infrasound lose something in a recording,
Good point...but...if you were sampling sounds..then maybe decent mic would do it.
Like these babies.

I Dont know.. (cries)
It would be great for you to try that experiment.
Dread feeling, take sample.
Nice idea..

Yeah had that thought a while ago on my last outing..set up camp..put cameras in place..went for a walk just before dusk, around one of the many hills close to us....got an odd feeling..then heard the distinctive sound of rock on rock sounded 500 mtrs away, we stopped confirmed with each other what we heard, then it happened again...rock on rock, we decided to turn around and head back to the camp...it was at that point i would have liked to hit a record button, but alas all i had was a digital recorder at the camp. this spot was maybe 15 kms from nearest house...quite difficult place to get to even in a 4B4

We have not found out much about yowies or figured them out so I am sure there will be some mystery surprises out there...maybe ones you dont want to find..(sounds like a voice over for a film) (eek)

Here`s another interesting article from the Blogsquatcher.... this time on Bigfoot and electromagnetic effects.

No this is definitely a new one - have a look at the date of the blog. The other articles by Blogsquatch (see links previously posted on this Topic) were concerning similar subjects eg. ultrasound and infrasound.... hence the reason I put Blogsquatcher`s latest article link on this topic.

This has become a very interesting thread Dean posted a report in the Woolgoola Sign thread in it the girl reported that her yowie friend use to emmit a humming sound in order to attract her attention , I read somewhere recently , sorry can't remember the source that some teeny bopper music is underscored with lower sound waves that adults can not hear so as to cause a dislike of that type of music by adults .

It has been reported in the daily news , human interest stories in recent times that teen agers emmit low frequency sounds in their speech that adults cannot hear , the associated edit pointed with tounge in cheek that this is the reason that adults don't understand teenagers , maybe they are not to far from the truth .

This is leading me to wonder why it is that Yowies / Bigfoot reportedly have a sagitorial crest upon their heads is it possible that they use this as does the bottle nose dolphin to emmit low frequency sound in order to form a mental picture of their surroundings and like the dolphin also use this process to locate and fixate prey . A very interesting concept it would appear to be plausible and does seem to explain the feelings some experience during encounters , I wonder if it is possible given this information when out in the field to overcome these feelings if we are lucky enough to have an encounter and continue the contact without evacuating the area post haste ! .

Hey Doc..thanks for that..can you send anything to my email and i willl work out a way of uploading..
Also, mp3 might be better than wav as I believe it can make the file size smaller..
Anyway...here is my mail

Thanks for that !!

Why not just convert to mp3? Download a program called Audacity, load up the .wav, then go File > Export As mp3. You can get it here.

Here's one I prepared earlier (cheesy)

Also, on infrasound/ultrasounds - I came across this. Bioacoustics. Interesting read.

This isn't working!
Grab Audacity first & then convert. Also, how big is the file size itself, that may have something to do with it. My email is [email protected] - just like Mike said, feel free to send me anything & i'll convert/downsize/whatever it takes. Hell, I could even clean up the audio too if needed be.

I don't know about all of these low frequency sounds and such but I have just returned home from a field trip , north of Woolgoolga I had success with simply hitting a stick against a tree in a likely location , swampy remote paperbark forrest , the sounds were repeated the exact amount of times within 10sec of me creating the initial sound , it repeated twice but would not do it again , I listened closely for movement in the surrounding scrub but it was hard to pick up on anything due to their being a steady nor east breeze .

I tried some vocalisations but I am not sure what it is exactly that I should be doing as far as the type of sounds / calls to put out , do any of you guys have some suggestions or web links , planning another outing next weekend and it would be good to have another arrow in the quiver . CHEERS ...
