Re: signage - it differs here. Putting up a sign saying "you can come in, but it's dangerous" really just opens you up to more in the way of public liability than you were probably prepared to deal with. Here, we have public spaces, or private spaces, not some nancy-signed in between.

We do have some very large designated testing/firing/bombing ranges, some restricted areas and the like but 99.9 percent of state forests, national parks and nature reserves here are managed with a view to them actually being USED by people. Many of the more popular / handy to cities ones undergo constant maintenence, upgrades to facilities, parking etc and if the powers that be can be proven to have been aware of the hazard that ended up squashing/burning/killing you, you can go after them for damages.

Enough park and reserve terrain within 200km of me to equal the average small European country, and not one of them has any "scary" signage, beyond obvious warnings about "duh, put your fire out" and "duhhh, don't get eaten by crocs".

If I can find the photo, i'll post it, but it goes along the lines of "Warning: Dangerous Area. Trespassers will be Shot. Survivors will be shot again". It cracked me up.
..people don't tend to notice him standing there in the last frames..
