They said something like "I think I see something moving" and then back right out? Wouldn't you first ask for a flashlight? Record whats in there, then back out? Thats what I would have done.

- i'm thinking about putting up a separate page on my webspace with all these photos so people can look at them freely.

Bears do not build shelters... they have no arms. That goes for black, brown, white, grizzlies, kodiak, any bear (do not know about the panda but apparently it is not a bear, it is from the rackoon family -true-). Black bears lie down under a tree and sleep occasionnally during the day, lightly. Caves are used by bears, especially for hibernating. I have no clue what this shelter is, if it was by a pound I would say it is a beaver shelter, but it is too big and not reinforced by mud like a beaver shelter. It could be a joke; if it is a true shelter, then I really have no clue what animal would build that... Tell you mates, I have been in forests of Americas all my life from time to time, there is nothing in our woods that build that... if for the bigguy perhaps. Again, if I would be a sas, I would not build that in the open, with one door, no windows... too many curious humans around. And these idiots left the place although they found a juvenile in there? Bring such a juvenile to National Geographic and get one million for it!!! Do it quickly though, leave the area quickly and tell your friends to walk behind you, about 200 feet.
