Springbrook

Unread post by SGD »

Hi there. Can anyone please help me out with sone info. A friend of mine swears that a few years ago he saw two small small looking creatures cross his path on a bushwalk in Springbrook on the Gold Coast. At first he thought they were kids but soon saw they were covered in hair and had long arms. It only lasted two secs and were over 50 meters away from him but could still make out that they were about 1.5m tall. I've heard stories of large yowie sightings in the area but small ones are a new one for me. To this day he swears on what he saw. Any info on these small creatures would be great to know. Cheers

Great report SGD! Welcome to the forums. Haven`t heard a lot about smaller yowies in the Springbrook or Lamington area, but the Sunshine Coast (and further north) has had a long history of reports.... One thing to keep in mind is that the smaller variety may be juvenile yowies. I think in a lot of cases we overlook that factor and therefore mistake younger yowies for a completely different species..... just a thought!
Rules of debunking
Any conventional explanation is better than none.
Don`t bother me with the facts my mind is made up.
If one can`t attack the data, attack the people, it is easier!
Do one`s research by proclamation; investigation is too much trouble.

Thanks heaps for the reply. That was one theory that we thought of. As I said in the previous message, have heard of large yowie sightings in the area but no smaller ones so young yowies was the most likely explanation. Any info on large yowies in springbrook would also be appreciated as we are planning our own expedition in springbrook. Thanx again
