Rude Skeptics

Unread post by horserider »

Was in Kenthurst today & i was waiting whilst my car was being washed.

Started to chat to 2 locals who didnt know each other..

One had heard of the big cat in the area but hadnt seen it but believed it

The other had heard of it also, hadnt seen it & doesnt believe it - what striked me as strange is the skeptic became so rude about it saying how many drinks had i had etc.. than when i said a reputable well known well respected horse trainer had seen the fawny coloured one in Maroota, he bloody turns around and interferes whilst im talking and asked if it was the colour of beer!! How rude!!!!

So than i continued to talk & geez he really started to become really annoyed even though i was directly talking to a elder lady there not him!

He was around hmmm say in his 70's & said he'd heard of it alot but why the need to become pissed off lol?? He actually started getting really annoyed... you know what i think??? I think he is just jealous he aint seen one lol!

I do believe sometimes these skeptics wish they have seen one hence why they become irritated & keep arguing

His words were "Well i havnt seen it, i been here decades & i still havnt seen it" ... Note he said "STILL" ie the poor old fella has probably gone out searching for it secretly lol

I have found that a lot of people who do not believe feel mentally superior to those of us who have seen something.......also belittling someone can make some individuals feel better about themselves.

I kept quiet about what I saw here in Buxton for years, only speaking to people I knew would be okay about it. These days I don't give a rats arse, and its funny when you start talking in a group just how many people have seen a big cat up here. The guy next door is a bus driver and he saw one one evening when he was driving on the Spur. Said it ran across the road infront of him. If I hadn't mentioned to him and his wife that I suspected all the local cat disappearances around here might have something to do with a big puma-like animal that I believe comes this way every so often, I might have never known of his sighting.

The advantage we have is that come tomorrow we will know a little more than we did yesterday and be a little wiser for it; the likes of that gent will still be a rude old fart.
