Magnetic Island cat

Unread post by jeffa »

Just saw this and thought might be interesting.

Can't for one think that Maggie Island would hold a breeding population of Panthers but stranger things have happened....................

I don't understand... this has really thrown a spanner into the big cat works..

The only conclusion i can come up with is that this is entirely faked or somehow that cat miraculously swam that distance and reached magnetic island without getting snacked on by sharks and crocodiles alike.

Or the government has been putting these cats in place to keep some sort of feral pests population numbers down..

My mind is boggled..

Was Magnetic island occupied and or visited by US forces during the WW11 period ? and or perhaps this was a site where they released their mascots , maybe a QLD contributor might have some local knowledge or history on this location .
