Re: MY VIEW
A simple point. This cross thing was most unexpected as well. It was unknown to me for a good 18 years of research until I found the cross after hearing singing/chanting in the forest at 06 am on 06/21/2011. The Sasquatches in Colorado and N America appear to use the cross as a symbol. What it means to them is unknown to me. However, the Native Americans say the Sasquatches beleive in one creator and the cross is used to symbolize this and is used as a birthing area marker to a certain degree as well. I just find it ironic to a certain degree we both value the same symbol. It must mean something significant.

Re: MY VIEW
Point well taken, but have your children ever grown one in a pine tree in the middle of a circle? Check out www.sasquatchinvestigations.org under oddities. I have been in the forest for 37 + years and this one is it to date, but I expect to find more because the tree was manipulated like many in the area. Like the one twisted in a pretzel, but still living as well...

Is it possible that maybe bigfoot and religion have nothing in common? Can you handle this possible assumption? Not trying to be rude but can you?mlj1mlj1 wrote:Point well taken, but have your children ever grown one in a pine tree in the middle of a circle? Re: MY VIEW
Sure, I can. This may be the case. But if you were woken up at 06 am on 6/21/2012 by chatting around a cross like no other what would you conclude? This took significant effort to acheive this cross. I haven't seen anything like it even from human hands in a pine tree. Then to what end and why not just chant anywhere...It could be an inherited belief passed down from their probable human genome side. Plus, theres allot more to the equation, yet to be discussed when the time is right. If I wasn't a Christian, logic might lead me to this speculation as well. Crosses have limited uses that I am aware of, but symbolism.
I am always open to a more logical solution if any one has one.

Re: MY VIEW
I have read each of your takes intently, I value your input, this is my view, it may not be yours. I am ok with it, I am comfortable in my own skin and where I am headed. There is two things I never do when drinking a Pint. I never discuss politics or religion. This however is a good place for it. An open forum. We all could be wrong. I am speculating on MY experience in the field and my findings only. I am always open to a better fit if anyone has one...

Re: MY VIEW
My Native American friends enlightened me in Oklahoma that they are told that the Sasquatch believe in one creator. They didn't say which one as man has many religions. That's all I was told. They just said the one. I find that really interesting. You know the cool part, one way or another this question gets answered for all of us in the end.

Re: MY VIEW
Well if I was a betting man I wouldn't put money on finding out which one, they're all mutually exclusive therefore by probability alone which ever one you believe in is wrong!!mlj1mlj1 wrote:My Native American friends enlightened me in Oklahoma that they are told that the Sasquatch believe in one creator. Re: MY VIEW
Hey Guys,
This is a part of the forum that I read out of morbid curiosity but don't often much comment on because I was raised that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all. Today I make an exception. Mike - It is great that you feel so passionately and strongly, and I'm not saying that this is factum, however you come across as someone seeking praise and attention. You were disheartened because you didn't receive any comment within a 24 hour period on your beliefs. I thought the point of putting what you believe out there was to let everyone know? To then make point of nobody commenting like a spoilt child because nobody cares just attests further to my conception of how you project yourself.
My views are my own and I am happy to share them with anyone who asks, or share them should the direction of conversation and the subject matter suggest this necessary or appropriate, but I refrain from putting my views out there for scrutiny because either 1 of 3 things will happen - 1) nobody will care, example A - this thread, b) everyone will pick it apart, which in turn will give me an opportunity to argue the point and force my beliefs onto someone else or try and convert them, example B - what you are doing once somebody finally let their curiosity get the better of them when they should have known better, or most unlikely 3) you will find someone that believes EXACTLY the same thing you do, in which case you will have nothing to say to them as they have the same beliefs so unless you are basking in each others self proclaimed importance, you would have no further cause to action a conversation further between the two of you.
It's great that you believe yourself to be an authority on crypto homonids, however here in Australia we don't suck up each others asses to make ourselves feel better. This is an Australian forum so don't expect us to do the same with you either. It's nothing personal, I just can't stand people with your attitude in general.
Cheers,
Stu

Re: MY VIEW
You haven't yet explicitly stated that you think sasquatch are connected to Christianity, but it seems like that's where you're heading with it. You're posts are a little cryptic, I'm trying to join the dots and my picture does not look like christian sasquatch.mlj1mlj1 wrote:My Native American friends enlightened me in Oklahoma that they are told that the Sasquatch believe in one creator. Re: MY VIEW
FM, no static at all...
Really Stu? Glad to know how you really feel.
I have no idea if Bigfoot believes in Christianity? Some signs make me wonder. The Native Americans tell me they believe in one creator and I find crosses allot. It is interesting to discuss, but clearly not proof, so why in the world would I say they are. That would be stupid. I said it is interesting to discuss and analyze the evidence only. This could still go anywhere. There is allot to learn and we know little. That is the fact.
As for you Stu, chill out and have a pint or two. Its easy to bash people on a forum for their views. I am thick skinned to it. I would quit lumping all your Aussie mates into the same category as you. I'll beat many find that offensive. I don't lump my American colleagues in with me. They can believe whatever they want.
As for expert, who knows. All I know is I have spent 300 nights in the woods over the last 5 years, which is more than most in the right places. I would hope I have learned a few things. Some people call me an expert, I don't own it yet.
I am on this forum to see often how my views based on my field work are viewed in another place. Some times not so well. It is expected. I will live with it and learn from it. I took a leap of faith on this one anyway and expected flack from those that don't believe in a higher power of any kind.

Re: MY VIEW
Talking about religion and politics at a bigfoot expedition is taboo in many organizations in the US. On expeditions you sign a form stating politics and religion are off limits to discuss as they tend to causes arguments. You can be asked to leave if you go there. I live in a little more open world than that. Everyone gets to have a take here, just try and not suck.
