Yes, they even captured it on video.

Ok it's not that hard to conceal a small fire for cooking purposes or a larger one in a cave or hollow. What I'm getting at is didn't neanderthals use fire, along with other tools. They were much more ' developed ' than the yowie seems to be. Even to the point of creating and wearing jewellry albeit nothing too fancy but has anyone seen a yowie wearing say a shell necklace? I reckon if you're looking for a link between human and hairy man you need to look a bit further away than neanderthals.

I wish you would all leave the Neandertals alone. They were around for approximately 250,000 years. They had language, they had culture and in that culture they had art, they buried their dead, they looked after the elderly and infirmed, they had fire, (fire was probably harnessed by our ancestors nearly at least 700,000 years ago).Don't forgot all you of European descent that you have around 4% of their DNA in your DNA.
I think at this stage it would be hard to use as a Hominin or a Hominid analog to compare a Yowie, hairy man whatever, until we can get more Science on these creatures.

A Brief Summary of the Bigfoot People

Have language? check
Appreciate the artforms as seen on TV? check
Bury their dead? check
Look after their elderly? check
Have fire? some do therefore check

So why wouldn't Bigfoot/Yowie be closely related to humans? (crickets)

Because they are inter dimensional, humans are not

Why couldn't they be related to humans?

....... because humans actually exist.

Interdimensional???? I can't come at that one. I tend to believe they've got better bushcraft. If they see you first you probably won't even be aware they're there.
