Thanks for the story Cass.

I think a lot of wild animals will have already moved on. It's been well documented that animals sense large natural occurences and had probably left town well before the hurricane hit.

I'd hate to be facing some of the "exotic" pets people seem to favour over there. Big cats would be one of the scariest.

I'm glad someone is thinking of the animals!

It reminds me of a book by Hoag, a detective book really, but it was set in Florida after a hurricane devistated the place, it was interesting as the animals from an exotic zoo escaped and were eating the refugees! Quite a funny book really!

I could imagine that in New Orleans the last thing you would need is too run into a hungry tiger, though concidering the way some of the population seem to behaving a hungry tiger would probably be preferable!

It will be interesting to see if there are cryptid sightings. I wonder if the violence of a storm of this magnitude can tear open a 'window' and let 'things' come in!
