Un-masking the mystery

Unread post by Gubba »

Gidday everyone!

Just a question I've been pondering for ages, and I'm sure I'm not the first.

If you had the opportunity to prove the existance of Yowies, would you do it?

I'm still unsure on the subject. I have my own set of discussion points to throw in to the debate, however, I'd like to hear everyone else's views first.

So, hit me with your opinions. Would you un-mask our big hairy friend if you had the chance?

Cheers,

Tom

Hi Gubba

That is an interesting question!

For me personally If I ever saw a Yowie with my own two eyes I think that would be enough proof for me I dont know If I would be bothered with trying to prove it to the rest of the world.

If I had concrete proof I dont think the world would listen anyway because for many their minds are already made up.

Muz :D
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

I have no desire to go down in history as the person who dragged a yowie, kicking and screaming, to some scientist for display in a cage or disection! I would love to see one once before I die! The greatest thing I could achieve would be for me to have one come to 'trust' me, to know I was there ,but carry on with its own buisness knowing I was no threat!
I don't care if people believe me when I say what I have seen, the publics belief isn't important to me. If I came across a dead yowie I would tell Dean where to find it, that would be as involved as I would want to be!

PROOF

Unread post by Jo Blose »

At this stage I would say the proof is subjective.

While you may be able to satisfy the creature's existence to yourself, the proof required to satisfy the skeptical scientific community is substantially higher.

However, science is delving into deeper and deeper levels of energy that comprise living matter and our universe, so perhaps in our lifetimes, the creature will be scientifically recognised.

Let's face it, if you're visiting this site regularly with a genuine interest in this fringe subject, with all the ridicule that goes with it, if you had the opportunity to prove it's existence once and for all - you would. After taking about a hundred safeguards and precautions to do with recording evidence for posterity, back-up samples, and for later scientific scrutiny, you definitely would. You would be kidding yourself to think you would act otherwise. 8)

Say no more. I would die a happy man if I saw one and proved their existence in my own mind.

Thats all.
