Re: Yowies entering dwellings?
There is the old classic from west of Kempsey NSW from back in the day when one entered a timber workers cabin while he slept and accosted him and he was able to fend it off !!
There was another report from the Central Coast of NSW where a couple of Yowies were utilising an old abandoned shack as a shelter and the shack was also a boyhood hangout for the chap that made the report !! The report section on this site is fascinating reading indeed , infact all the evidence that a thinking person would require is right there available to read !!

Re: Yowies entering dwellings?
I read a story about one actually walking thru the wall?? mind you it was in the realm of the interdimensional sasquatch so it was in a different league....
Then again - if a hairy one wanted to walk thru a wall, with a bit of force it probably would not be too difficult.
I'd guess that the hairy ones are the master of observation and watching how things eventuate. Watching from the perimeter as a human walks in and out of a house would point to the door knob being the key to making the entry available. That to me seems the only credible solution in a flesh and blood sense....interdimensionally, well who am I to comment...

There seems to be a lot of stories of Bigfoot entering buildings like sheds, barns even houses in America but very few reports here.Maybe Bigfoot is more brazen than his Aussie counterpart.

Hi ChrisV and Lozza,
Interesting when you hear stories of attacks on humans such as the ones of yowies entering a house and trying to drag people out yet they never appear to succeed with their objective. They would have no trouble dragging a human around yet this does not appear to be their intention I think it is the scare factor they are after. Is there any follow-up to these stories of Yowie molested humans? As you mentioned ChrisV of the Yowie walking through the wall and the interdimensional aspect you never have to stray too far of a Yowie / Bigfoot story without the supernatural element present. I believe these creatures can be both physical and metaphysical.

With respect, I’d suggest the above claim is little more than unproven conjecture. From what I've read of the many, many reports of sightings of these creatures from the forests and bushland around the world, I’d suggest less than 5% would be a more accurate estimate of something that involves ‘seemingly paranormal‘ behaviour.you never have to stray too far of a Yowie / Bigfoot story without the supernatural element present.

Re: Yowies entering dwellings?
Hi Sensesonfire, I agree they could easily drag anyone from a house and I don't think there are any followups.Still not sure about the paranormal aspects. They all have different personalities and I wouldn't want came across an aggressive one like the ones that growl and throw rocks at people. However they could do serious damage to anyone but most of the time they just watch people or get away from people.sensesonfire wrote:Hi ChrisV and Lozza,

I recorded the rear door latch being tested, that was locked, as I was sleeping in the front seat of the SUV. I was out in the boonies and there were no other human campers in the vicinity.

Surely with that kind of strength they could give it one yank and presto - access!!themanfromglad wrote:I recorded the rear door latch being tested, that was locked, as I was sleeping in the front seat of the SUV. I was out in the boonies and there were no other human campers in the vicinity.

Re: Yowies entering dwellings?
I would expect if yowies are as smart as people say they are they would be able to work an unlocked door for sure. I saw a small part of a show where they were testing how smart hyenas were at opening draws and doors to access food. Very smart animals. They could learn by watching each other.
When I worked with chimps and monkeys you could see that they were always watching what was happening around them and they could easily manipulate a door handle if not locked. They could manipulate a lot of things if you weren't careful.
As for yowies trying to take a person from a house. I would expect if the yowie wanted to take you it would.
I wonder if the yowie just wanted to take them but without force. The yowie couldn't just come out a say come for a walk so it might have just tried to pull the person along, like a small child who can't speak yet. They grab your hand or mums dress and pull you in the direction they want you to go. Now when a child drags you along it's cute but if a yowie walks into your house and does the same thing you would freak out and resist.
Just a thought.

Re: Yowies entering dwellings?
I imagine if a Yowie did abduct someone from their home it would be a hard task to differentiate it from a normal human doing the deed.
Like it has already been said - the chances of something like this happening would be very rare....but again, in this life anything can happen.
