Any truth to the report that the Russians have a live yeren?Apparently it was found by Russian surveyors.

Re: russian yeren
Either that or ‘big brother’ is working overtime!
I’ve always understood that the Yeren was the Chinese version of North America’s Bigfoot or Sasquatch. Tibet, Nepal and Russia have the Yeti and Australia is the home of the Yowie and some sub species like the smaller Jungadee. The Orang-Pendek is also more diminutive than the Yowie, Yeti or Bigfoot and is native to Indonesia.

Yes any links would be helpful.
I get the feeling that Russia and China might be the first folks to engage in sharing information about their discoveries. For some reason they seem akin to sharing stuff more than their western counterparts.....which is completely opposite to their military secrets?!
They made a big scene about discovering the preserved mammoth recently and working with Korean labs to try and get a clone going.....it does wonders for their perception to the outside world of being advanced etc....just a theory!

Re: russian yeren
I thought the Russian/Mongolian term was Almas, and the Mandarin term was Yeren.
Both names simply mean "wild man", so it is a moot point.
