I had heard the stories of the Croc that turned up in the Logan River many years ago. Some say it must have released due to growing too large to handle, after being poached from North Queensland and was responsible for the death of a lot of wildlife and farm animals. It was sighted many times before being caught and killed.
How it got there is still conjecture and hypothesis.

He was 12ft 6inches . Full of ducks,turtles and corn . Great story. Always thought it was just a myth.
