No Denial - Blue Mountains City Council

Unread post by Buck »

Check out this page of the Blue Mountains City Council website. It 's in the library section of Frequently asked questions.

Must have been a lot of questions about 'What is a Yowie' to warrant a page dedicated to it on a government website.

Some good reports too.

Very interesting.

It seems that the local council must deal with a few sightings and such.

Like Buck has pointed out, it would have to be an issue for a site like this to provide information.

Soon there'll be a booklet on the steps to take when confronted by a yowie.

"Step 1: Fall to knees and quiver vigorously......"
Sometimes, 'The Majority' only means that all the fools are on the same side.

Step 2 : Bring napkin for Yowie.

Would probably be on the list judging by the illustration.

In this article it cites the references for this page. It mentions transcripts and tapes in the local studies area. Have any local researchers read these or heard of these?

It also mentions Frog Hollow. Hard to find on the UBD and Whereis? Found Toad Hall but no Hollow... any ideas?

Some nice historical reports there, but they can't be too clued up on their locality - they say Rex Gilroy is living in northern NSW! For those who don't know, he's a Katoomba local.

Didn't he live in Toowoomba for a while? I seem to recall his museum being mention.

He lives just around the corner from the incline railway. You can see rows and rows of books through his windows(not that I go stalking him or anything). He likes his books me thinks.
