a Chinese man abducted by a female "yeren"

I hate this title, it sounds like i m trying to attract attention. But this is the story about. I found this story last week in a Chinese website, the whole story is 10,000 chinese characters, equivalent to 13,000 english words. So it's not a short one. I try to translate as much as I can.

I won't be offended if you think this story is fake. However, the story has something other accounts don't. Some part is very consistent with yowie/bigfoot, some are in greater details, and some are against logics that i wouldn't think a smarter hoaxer will go that direction.

This story is written in "first person" perspective, I won't do that, i just use the "author" or "this guy". and my comment is in []

Part 1 (if i can't translate all of them at one time)
The location is where yeren is. [wikipedia shennongjia] The time is not specified, but mobile phone is mentioned. This guy is a professional writer for either magazine or some publisher, but not named. He went on a business trip to Hubei Province and a tour in that forest is arranged after the business. He accompanied by other people, another writer and two girls are mentioned. The other writer likes to talk dirty jokes. One of the joke is he wanted to be abducted by female yeren and get laid and write a story about it to make money. The author is a married man, a father of a 3 year old son.

So they climbed up a mountain, saw nothing and climbed down to go home. While they are going downhill, the auther wanted to poo badly, but because two young girls are in the group, he doens't want to speak out about it. So he went off the path and find a place hidden to take off his pants. After the poo, he saw, not far from where he is, a natural grown persimmon that drew his attention. Just while he is about to grab, he suddenly saw a yeren [yowie/bigfoot], about 2 metre high, covered by red hair, extremely ugly, yelling "hey hey shia".

So this guy is scared the sh*t by now and tried to run, but too scared, fell on the ground three times within ten strides. He tried to call "help", only to find that his volume is so small in this big forest. then he tried to take out mobile phone, even his mind went total blank, no idea how a mobile phone would help. Only just pressed two numbers, a slap came with the terrible smell. He has been beaten to ground and mobile lost. So he doesn't think he can survive this and just hoped a quick death.

But to his surprise, the creature smiles at him, holds him up from the ground in a gentle way, and still smells disgusting. The guys said his blood near stopped. This creature is still smiling to him, in a kind of flirting style, and get its huge head close to him and started kissing, like a mother kissing baby. This moment, the guy recalled orangutan in circus. This somehow relaxed him a little bit, and he start observe this creature. It's bigger than human, solid, but face looks like a 80 year old woman. The guy is disgusted by the smell, but within the smell, he can also smell something "special". This "special" smell definitely led this guy to look down to this creature's private part, and confirmed this is a female.

So the female yeren is obviously very happy right now, gently put this guy on her shoulder, and ran towards inner direction of the forest. The guy couldn't move, only heard the noise of the wind flow over his ears as the female yeren is running really fast. He also lost the count how many hill they have passed by.

They finally arrived at a cave. The entrance of the cave is so small that no one would notice. In the cave, it is part of a underground cave system. Looking up, he can see the sky, looking down, he can't see how deep. The creature dropped this guy in a corner, and covered him with dry hay, then moved to another corner and started eating fruits. After eating, the female creature grabbed this guy out of the hay, held under arm, and use the hairy hands touch over this guy's body, and said "hey hey shia" in a low voice. Saliva is dropping onto his face. The guy is so scared and pretended to die. So he shook legs, and turned his head, tried to fake his death. The female creature did sound worried, the voice turned to nervous and fast, calling "shia shia" in the mouth. However, after a second thought, the guy gave up the death faking, coz he thought what if she is convinced i m dead and wanted to eat me? So he gets up again. The female creature turned nervous to happy. Definitely spoke many things to express her happiness, and suddenly lifted this guy up in the air and rotating/spinning, which caused him blackout.

Next morning, he woke up with extreme headache. The creature has gone, so he tried to escape, only to find out the entrance has been blocked by a big stone. He doest have the strength to move at all.

Three days have passed, he started eating all kinds of fruits, drinking from stream in the cave, sleeps on the dry hay. The creature will go out in the morning and come back at night with food. The guy did try to escape at night while she's sleeping. But the creature's vision and hearing is much better than human. Every movement made by this guy, the creature would wake up and check the situation. One night, this guy got up to pee, and heard something moving towards him, a snake. The creature was still snoring in last minute, while the snake approached, she just suddenly, one slap, extremely fast and accurate on the head of the snake. After seeing that, this guy totally gave up his escaping plan.

One day, while the creature is out for food, the guy explored the cave network deeper in the cave. He tried to follow the sound of the underground stream, hoping to find a way out. But in the end screwed up. He was then trapped into pitch black darkness for more than two hours and lost the way back. He lost the sense of time and space around him. He didn't know how long had passed, then heard the creature's sound far far away. She was looking for him. He tried to call out, but lost his voice. He tried to move his body, kicked a stone, which made a noise successfully drew attention from the creature. The creature has excellent capability to locate him in the darkness, quickly approached him and grabbed him back to where they sleep, also kissed him a lot. Under the light, he could see the creature had many wounds on the body and bleeding when looking for him.

The second day, the creature did not go out as usual. The guy found that the bleeding area are infected and pus [right word?]. While being sick, the creature didn't not eat, only drink water. In the afternoon, she managed to go out and brought some herb back, chewed into mash and spreaded on the wound. Because the creature just saved his life, and now she looked ill, so he wanted to help. He just recall he got cigerette and zippo in pocket. So the guy lighted up a camp fire, and roasted a wild chicken. The creature fears the fire, afraid of touching the roasted chicken, untill the guy showed her how to eat. She ate one, and went back to sleep.

Since he found his cigarette, he lighted one. When looking around, he noticed that the creature forgot to block the cave. He then walked out. While he was thinking whether he should try to escape again. Another yeren came out from the bush. A male one, but shorter and thinner than the female one. Because the guy already got used to the female yeren, so he wasn't so scared by this small one. The small one, on the contrary, were surprised. The small one suddenly move forward and hit him to the ground, then jump/leap into the air and sits directly on the guys' tummy, causing this guy spit blood in the mouth. At that moment, the female yeren rushed out of the cave, pushed the small one away from his body. Two creatures are looking at each other angrily and start arguing. They use both oral language and hand language. The female yeren, pointed at him and posted a hugging gesture to the small yeren, as if to say, this is my husband/boyfriend, then held him up, shaking her head towards to the small one. [the chinese description here, sounds like the female yeren is trying to express "i will date this guy, whatever, not your business"]. Then the small one retreated back to bush.

After the small one left, the female creature firstly stare at the guy for a while, then punched his butt twice, then opened her mouth to show all teeth to him [Fang, was the word the guy used in the chinese version]. The guy takes it as "if you try to run again, I will eat you."


Since then, the guy gave up escaping for a while, cooked food with fire from time to time. He had two magazines with him when abducted to kill some time. Untill one day, the female yeren decided to carry him out for a day tour. The guy was sitting on the back of the creature, seeing the beautiful scene of the area, he was quite happy and recited some poem [Chinese literaturers love to do that, a tradition, instead of using own word to describe, they usually quote ancient poets work to show off their knowledge. I tried that too as a teenager, then stopped cause made me look like an idiot in daily life and didn't help get girls. Anyway..]. The poem citing makes the female yeren giggling [saying "hehe hehe" from mouth and body shaking a little bit, just like human]. After a while, the creature stopped smiling, getting alarmed, then froze and listening. Of course, the guy had no clue. Then two Wild boars appeared out of bush. Now they guy can feel muscles on the creature's body are tightening up. He slipped down from her back and hide. The boars initially just wanted to pass. But the creature jumped/leaped in the air, fell and sat on one of them's back, grabbing two boar ears. Though the boar is furious and kicking, the creature just sit tight and laugh and playing. When she saw the other boar is charging the guy, she jumps into the air again, falling and kicking the charging boar, causing it roll over. Then jump/leap back onto the first boar's back again. After playing awhile, she uses rattan [google translate gave me this word but google image yield wrong things, so i dont know if this word is correct] to tight up the two together. So one charging will pull the other one. So two boars started fighting due to the rattan while the creature is just sitting on the ground and watch (for fun). Time to clean up and go home, the creature lifted up one boar, screaming and threw down the boar onto a flat stone surface, one shot, killed it. The other one is of same fate.

The author also recorded another occasion the female yeren killed a bear. Basically, the creature can use stone throw, heavy stone and usually aim well. And she also can lift up the bear by grabbing hind legs, then split the bear into two pieces. Then the guy and the creature had several days eating meat, roasted by fire.

The guy said he noticed, after eating cooked food more often, the creature's hair become smoother and glossy, face also looks softer. The creature is also very smart. Both have little problem in communication. The creature can usually catch the guy's meaning. The creature can pronounce "chi" [eat in Chinese], after the guy repeated ten times, and understand it's meaning. When the creature noticed that the guy always wanted to teach her something, she then wanted to teach the guy too. She teach him to mimic other animals sounds. He meant ALL animals, deer, wolf, boar, leopard, tiger, many kinds of birds.

This sounds like the standard type of abduction tale associated with Bigfoot (such as Albert Ostman's account), and there are numerous anecdotal accounts of men and women being abducted, and of having sexual relationships with these creatures.

I'm not going to say this is or isn't true, but it's part of a 'tradition' of these kinds of stories. There's even a story by the underground cartoonist Robert Crumb which deals with this same concept.



It's easy enough, I suppose, to fabricate a story like this from traditional sources and info that's been found online or elsewhere. I know a lot is probably lost in translation, though.

The guy said since he could communicate with the creature, then he conceived a plan to teach her gradually so in the end he can bring her to human world [sounds like Friday in Robinson Crusoe]. But no further mention about how the creature learning speaking other than the "eat". nor did the guy pay attention on their language.

One day when the creature is trying to mimic deer sound, the noise attracted a "goldcoin leopard" [the yellow type with many round spot resembling the coins]. The leopard found out it was tricked, and upset, charged to them. the creature simply used one hand to seize the leopard's neck, and one leg stomped on the leopard's back, and the guy could hear a crack sound from the spine. killed the animal.

While travelling on her back more often, the guy tried to direct the creature to where he believes humans could locate. After couple of try, he could see from a mountain top that there are cattle far away [not Aussie type cattle, farmers usually feed some cattle for ploughing purpose]. While he was trying to convince the creature to get close, a little animal sized "as Weasel" came out of the grass. The creature saw the animal, scared to death, to his surprise. The no-named animal climb up onto the cattle's back, found a spot, bit the cattle then crawled into the body. The little animal has yellow fur, but when came out of the cattle, it's covered with blood. In its mouth, there is a piece of organ. The cattle was just running in pain, but more such animals appeared. Not long, the cattle lying down on the ground and moaning in pain while the animals are sharing its spread out organs. The female scared, couldn't even move and fecal incontinence [google translated]. Seeing those animals left, she ran back to cave quickly and didn't dare to go out for couple of days.

After been captured nearly a month, now it's middle of autumn. The guy noticed his hair and beard all growing wildly, his pants tattered that can't cover butt. The only durable cloth is his jacket. He said he doesn't feel cold at that weather as he should.

They made second try to go out of the forest. One day he burst into tears as he felt desperate away from human world. He said "he told the creature he missed home, but she thought i just get bored". So she carried him to travel around again. But when approaching the edge of the forest, she didn't want to go out. So the guy showed her the broken zippo, reminded her the cooked food, which encouraged her. This time they spotted a man. The female yeren saw that man first, no sign of fearing the man, just called the guy in "shia zhi le" and pointed at the man. The man looks like a herb collector [a profession in traditional chinese medcine]. The guy was so excited, as if he saw a relative after not seeing each other for decades. He waved his hand on the back of the creature, called that man. When the man looked at them, no doubt scared the sh*t off, running away, but the creature flanked and blocked his way while laughing. The man has a hoe, so he holds the hoe and prepared to fight. The author calms down the man, told him not to fear. But the herb man just couldn't calm down, hands are shaking. So the guy said, "this creature is caught by me! dont worry, under my control, just lead us to the village please." So the man pretended to relax, led the way at the front toward village.

Suddenly, the man used the hoe to give the creature a hit on chest. She screamed in pain, hit the man to ground and try to follow another kick. The guy feared for the herb man's life, then tried to hold the creature. The yeren angrily dropped the man off her back, ran after the herb man again. The author caught up the creature again, and yell to the man "run! run!". The creature screamed again, slap the guy on face. The author guy fainted and knew nothing after.

When he woke up, they are already back to cave. The female creature kept screaming angrily in the cave, then went out of the cave, kept screaming, and went far. The guy now found huge spread of blood at the entrance of the cave. He doesn't know if it belongs to the creature or the herb man. The guy decided to risk his life to escape again. Now he believed he learned the way from previous attempts. He ran for two hours no stop, only to got loss again. a deep river lies in front of him. He heard the creature running after him. The guy had no time to hesitate, jumped into the cold river. He swam about 30 metres away from bank when the creature showed up. She coudn't swim, stood at the river bank, calling and crying toward the guy. something like "shia shia he, shia shia he", sounds in great sad. The guy just kept swimming. Then the creature fell on the ground in louder crying. The guy does say he has some affection to the creature.

Then suddenly, the creature stopped crying, stood up, after a final roaring, she opened her own tummy with hands, grabbed her organs out, throwing up into the air, then fell dead. This outcome is totally out of the guy's expectation/understanding/logic/imagination. He quickly swam back, cried and mourned her. left his jacket with her and left. [He said he buried her.]

He travelled two days, found village. The villager sent him to hospital [a town hospital at Pine and Cypress Town, Hubei Province ]. Police also came, confirmed his identity, told him the police had been searching him.

He tried to tell that story to his wife, but he could see this beyond her understanding. But he felt a strong urge to tell the story. So he talked to the chief editor [his boss], saying while he was trapped in the forest, he was inspired by the surroundings and came up a story of female yeren abducting man. His boss loves the idea......

1. yowie/bigfoot's abduction strategy: they may wait quietly in the bush when they see a group of human, but only to take action when one of them, for any reason, distant himself/herself from the group. In this story, the guy was taking a poo. Other story, maybe playing hide-and-seek?

Great story! I agree that some of the aspects are reminiscent of other encounters. I do wonder though if the story is a rip-off or a take on the 'abduction by bigfoot' claim/story in the US. Love the Robert Crumb artwork!!

Great story!! Fact or fiction it was good. The only way to have an interaction with one is to be alone on the other hand getting your head ripped off by one that's a risk depending on what personality they have great story micathia

Thanks micathia for the translation. Tragic story there and yes not what you would expect from the usual abduction story. She was clingy and the smell and screeching would have been disturbing but didnt deserve that fate.
