P:riceless - website now added to my now large collection of bookmarks of online links for sasquatch/yowies/UFOs/etc. etc. etc. categorised under 'Anomalies'.
Similar advice currently being offered at https://sasquatchchronicles.com/the-mos ... -days-ago/

They're both interesting useful links. It seems its getting more common to have sasquatch troubles in the states. I guess its because theres more people and theyve been there longer than us aussies.

One guy suggests to destroy any stick structures and put up your own! I dunno about that one!? Interesting what they said about bigfoot being afraid of laser pointers as they associate them with military weapons.

We have a few forum members with resident yowies and a few threads on yowies possibly invading houses. It will probably become more common here with all the new housing estates going up in what was once bushland and australias population growth.

Yeah, I read that one. It was in the SC forum (where I got the link BTW).

That would be a surefire way to piss them off and get very aggressive, very fast. In the article the fellow's kid built a fort out of guess what? sticks...
... they definitely would have seen that as rather rude. (taz)

He says the kids went deeper into the woods to get more sticks when they were screamed at. Sasquatch would've been watching the whole time.

Strange how the kid that saw it at door repressed or forgot the incident afterwards. Cant say i blame him! Bigfoot is weird and terrifying. What a combination!

I saw this part on the site

https://ourdistantcousins.wordpress.com ... hat-is-it/

which goes into the paranormal realm

"footprints disappearing mid trackway,

creatures appearing and disappearing before someone’s eyes,

passing through “portals,”

“mindspeak,”

floaty and silent locomotion,

possible disappearance of some humans due to some kind of sasquatch shenanigans,

superhuman jumping ability and running speed,

“zapping,”

UFO connections,

an eerie silence when they are nearby,

feeling of being watched,

abject fear from other creatures when bigfoot are present,

apparent invulnerability to bullets,

uncanny ability to hide and escape detection,

night vision of some kind,

glowing eyes"

which rings A LOT of bells with the hundreds of accounts..

(eek)

Hey Jonno777 there is some good info there. I like the link on "risky bussiness" (under "dissapear" but wouldnt link for some reason). What they say about "pacing" is very much like what happened to me and is quite common. Very helpful site!

Makes me wonder how they got all this information - I thought just closing your window and blinds would do the trick.

Hi,

I found Yowiehunters by following a link from my blog, which is Our Distant Cousins per your above discussion.

I found out the information I have on the blog partly from experience and looking at my own photos and partly from looking at others' photos, reading books and reports, listening to podcasts and watching videos, and sort of sifting in through based on my experience.

I live in Central Caifornia, very near the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

I think when they are pacing you or escorting you out as some call it that you are okay, you are safe because they just want to be sure you are gone. Sometimes they give you a parting shot like a little push, but you won't be ambushed. IMO

Its a very useful site. A wealth of information on there. Great job!

I found it a relief to read about the pacing. Good to know im not the only one and the hairy man didnt have some vendetta against me.

Its true what you say. We didn't get a parting shot but it gave us a good scare. Basically ran beside us and gradually widened the distance between us before taking off into the bush and going psycho before it finally went silent.

No pysical contact but i do remember wiping yowie spit from my face and hair as we were running back to camp and wondering if it was gonna have another go at us. Good times! (cries)

Im figuring its more common in the U.S since theres actually a term for it?

Hey Gazz, i worked it out to be between One Tree Hill and Govi on Eurong beach from an older map and speaking to my mates mum.

Someone on the forum did mention a few sightings on Fraser. One from a Native American who saw sets of red eyes in Central Station and another report of hairys stealing tools but not sure where?

My dad and his fishing club mates used to talk about some " little hairy bastards" that were stealing their bait or catch and rummaging through their gear when they were fishing on the rocks below. Probably up near Indian Head i think is where they would go rock fishing.

No worries. I should have said between Govi and One Tree Rocks. I think it was Wongai we camped at and we went up towards Govi and were walking back when it happened. Its in the Ayr written reports if you want to check it out. (thumb)

I have personally been paced only once that I know of. I think it's pretty common.

How many Yowies are there? Here, bigfoot are not hard to find at all, but you just have to have to know what the signs are.

We have them come into town neighborhoods near waterways. You ever have urban yowie experiences? I think people here just don't know what is going on or they would probably freak out.

Yowies on Frazer?

That actually fits as there are countless fresh water perch lakes dotted across the island, many with giant fish in them. In the clearer ones you can watch them swimming by.

And in the numerous freshwater creeks you can scoop them up out of the shallow water as they idly swim by. At least that's how I remember the island from when I was a boy.

Close the window? Why didn't I think of that?

Naw, the window was ALWAYS closed in my case. Like I would even open it when a sasquatch could be out there. No way.

The trouble was, they would tap on the window, scratch on the wall, scare the kids, make racket in the yard at night and keep us up at night, slam on the house, and throw pebbles at the window frequently. This in town, mind you. So it's not really a trivial thing to us. Trust me, no windows were opened.

Yes we have some suburban encounters but usually occur at places that are attached to larger forest systems or new housing projects where much bush has been cleared.

Couldnt possibly guess how many there are but probably more than what people would think.

According to the stuff I've been reading (The Yowie; In Search of Australia's Bigfoot) these creatures are able to perceive infra red light and deliberately avoid it, as they seem to think they'll be seen if they step into it.

Based on several eyewitness accounts from the Blue Mountains, placing an infra red lamp near the part(s) of the house where they're doing this stuff will deter them. I know it's an expensive solution, but it apparently works well.

Yeah theres plenty of food sources over there. Lots of freshwater turtles and goanna etc plus the things that wash up on the beach. They did have livestock over there at one stage.

Theres been a lot of construction of roads and resorts from what i can tell from the newer maps. Id say there would have been a few encounters from those areas.

I haven't been back since about 1985 or 6... I bet it has changed a lot.
My grandad used to swim bullocks across from the mainland to get the timber, braving the bull sharks and swimming along with the bullocks during low tide.

... so I bet if bullocks can swim it, so can Yowies. Or as I have decided to call them scientifically... Homo Nocturnus

They probably been there for millions of years but who lnows? Maybe they swim over regularly. Theres a few rest stops in the " little fraser" series of islands which i think is off hervey bay.

I havent been there since the early 80s either. Its a shame theyve built roads and more resorts on there. :(

Hi, just read this article. Interested in why they say "drain the pool" i was wondering why do that.
Do they think its a water source for them to drink which keeps them coming around?? Salt and chlorine-yuk.
